I’ve stayed at the Lincoln Sands on three different occasions in the past and have enjoyed all my stays. Once I decided to try a different hotel but wasn’t happy with staying there, so on my next trip to Lincoln City I returned here. One has to consider the value received with the price paid and I think Lincoln Sands provides it all with the view, spacious rooms and the free hot breakfast.
The first two times I stayed I was on the bottom floor but last April I “upgraded” myself to the second floor and was glad I did. Having a balcony and an ultimate view of the ocean was a huge plus. While the hotel does appear “dated” in parts, it does look to have been upgraded in the past few years in the kitchen and bedroom areas. Oh, and the kitchen…what a nice thing it is to have the ability to cook if I want or need to.
I haven’t found the front desk to be overly friendly, but they are efficient, which is all that I ask for of a business. I did want to shout out to the breakfast lady each morning I was there. She was always checking the food and asking me if she could help by making me a waffle. I appreciate her conscientiousness.
As you can see, I really like the Lincoln Sands and consider it to be the hotel I stay at when in Lincoln City. In fact, I’ve already made reservations for April. Second floor of course…because I want that spectacular view.
