“Short Christmas Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

This is not our first stay at Liberty Inn and certainly wont be our last. We started heading to Lincoln City some decade ago and since then we've stayed in Liberty Inn for close to a dozen times. The hotel is as spotless as the first time we stayed there. Front desk service is courteous and I love the express checkout. Rooms are roomy and clean.

Breakfast is included and they even serve scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, waffles with strawberry and whipped cream, etc. Great breakfast.

Overall location is good as it is away from the crowd and close proximity (shuttle service available) to the Chinook Wind Casino for those interested in trying out their lady luck with the one arm bandit. Just remember know when to hold them and when to fold them.

Looking forward to my next trip to Lincoln City next Christmas and definitely a stay in Liberty Inn.

“Was one of my favorites ....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

When I tried to get a room for the night of 12/31/2011, I went online to the Liberty and what I saw was shocking. One available room. A double queen with fireplace for over a thousand dollars.
I am hoping this was just a website glitch but I may never know.
I think I am going to look elsewhere for a place that is more focused on the customer and less on the checkbook.

**We were able to find a place for $89 with three Queen beds that was only 2 blocks from the beach**

Room Tip: The Forrest Side is just as nice as the Ocean side. Only the top level really had a decent view of t...

Firstly, our sincere apologies for the situation you experienced. It is indeed a glitch within the software, as it is currently being upgraded. Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention as we now have clear information with which to remedy the problem. And please be assured that Liberty Inn continues to be focused on customer service and value. -- whether it's New Year's Eve or the middle of the week in May, our rooms will be priced fairly and competitively. We hope we have the chance to have you as our guest again soon.

“Great weekend!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

The Liberty Inn is very quiet and comfortable, we had a 2-queen, fireplace room. the hotel is situated in a forest setting off the beach, but close enough for a short walk or drive. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast which is very ample and the waffles are wonderful. Each evening around 6 pm hot chocolate chip cookies are available for the guests. When making my reservation the reservationist asked if we were coming to the beach for a special occasion, I said yes, my birthday. Upon arrival the hotel marquee read, "Happy Birthday Diane"... nice touch. The hotel is located very close to the casino and a shuttle bus is available 24 hours a day. All in all it was a very nice stay.

“Our Favorite”

We have stayed here several times and have always had a pleasant experience. Friendly, clean and a nice atmosphere. 24 hour shuttle is great if you are casino players. You can't beat the free breakfast every morning and the hot out of the oven cookies during the day.

“Skip this hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

Our Business Dept.had booked rooms for us (2 queen bedroom) for meetings we were attending in Lincoln City. Upon retiring for the night, turning down sheets, found matted hair on sheets at pillow area looking like housekeeping had not changed sheets. Other bed did not have fresh sheets either. Called down to desk to be told they would have to come up to room to verify. I asked to have clean sheets/pillow cases brought for both beds and was told we would have to make our own beds as housekeeping was gone for the night. Another colleague went to take a bath the next morning and mat was still in tub with hair underneath. Also same colleague was charged the extra $20 incidental fee that was to be taken off if room was not damaged, etc. When she called to have removed she was treated very rudely over the phone and told it had already been removed and should show on her account in the next few days. Customer service was not friendly or welcoming. On a good note not making the rating a terrible - the hot continental breakfast had many choices and was good.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere!

Carla,

Thank you for bringing this very unfortunate situation to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the distress caused to you and your party and appreciate that you were willing to speak with us on the phone so we could obtain the information necessary to document the problem and prevent it from happening again. While we strive for great service at all times occasionally slip ups do occur and it is with feedback from guests that we are able to quickly address issues in our operation.
