“Great room...coming back soon!!”

Check in was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly. Had a lovely room with a fireplace overlooking the ocean. I used to be a housekeeping manager for a large convention hotel, and this room was as clean if not cleaner than most hotels. Great value for the price paid. I'm looking forward to staying again when they complete the renovation/addition.

If Lincoln City is your destination then the Sea Horse is an excellent choice.

Room Tip: Leave the sliding door open to listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean all night.

“winter in Lincoln City, Oregon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

The Sea Horse Oceanfront Lodge is a wonderful location just to sit with either a hot cup of something or a smooth cool drink. It is located up on a cliff above the stormy beach. The service varies depending on who is on staff and what season of the year it is, but the staff tries really hard to make things nice.
We enjoy going there because it is far enough away from the main drag to feel out of the way, but close enough so as to enjoy all that Lincoln City has to offer.

Room Tip: ocean view is always the best

“Resort of last resort”

We needed a pet friendly room, and it seems as though options are limited in Lincoln City, at least for a reasonable price. The check-in process was lengthy. All the oceanfront rooms were under renovation. Suspiciously, they said it was due to "storm damage", but December had been gorgeous for Oregon, up until the night of our stay. We had a view of the adjoining property's parking lot. Bleck. The flooring looked recently updated, but the choice was cheap and the bedspreads are ancient and ugly. No ambiance whatsoever. And there were weird stains on the ceiling -- not like leaks, but perhaps leaks that had been poorly covered with paint. The first storm of the season blew in the night of our stay. The wind howled and literally blew one of our windows open. All night, it sounded like the roof might blow off. You could also hear the rattling of all the construction materials they had stored in the parking lot. (These materials also blocked several of the parking spaces). Around 8am, the construction workers arrived, started clanging and banging. No way to sleep. We took a walk on the beach in the morning. The stairway down has to have 100 stairs. Not an easy feat to climb back up. My husband hit the free breakfast offered. It must have been pretty poor for him to return with only a banana. My husband can eat and will eat, almost anything. If you need lodging in Lincoln City, I have to believe anything else would beat this place.

Room Tip: Maybe the oceanview rooms (especially after repair) will be worth the money, but don't stay here...

This guest stayed in an economy non-view room. These rooms are simple, and clean, and offered at a reasonable price. We have many different room types, from economy to luxury, with pet friendly options in most categories.

The storm damage occurred in December of 2011. We were hit with a tornado that took the roof off the ocean front section of our North Building. I am truly sorry that this guest was disturbed by the construction, however, we do inform guests who stay in the North Building of the construction process. CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION: FEBRUARY 2012.

Our complimentary Continental breakfast consists of: muffins, bagels, English muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juice.

my boyfriend and I decided to go back to the seahorse after an okay stay the previous time. We rented a cabin for the weekend so we could have more space because a friend decided to come with us. we checked in no problem and got all unloaded into room 111. the first couple hours I felt uncomfortable, like something wasnt right. I just brushed it off & we continued our stay. I had noticed slight changes that my boyfriend, his friend nor I made. I went to the front desk & asked the one of the ladies if people claimed there was ghosts. she told me one of the ladies that previously owned the hotel died on the properity & they had complaints of loud walking on the upper level of the near by hotel. I went back to our room and told my boyfriend & his friend & we continued with our night. a lot of other unusual things happens that scared us so bad I was hysterical, 4am on our second night there we packed everything up & left. It's a huge bummer because the staff is so friendly, it's a great price, and an awesome location. not only that but I grew up staying in this hotel on annual beach trips with my family. if your okay with ghosts, then I would say stay here, but our night was so horrible, I would never stay at this hotel again!

I'm sorry this guest was uncomfortable in one of our cabins. I've worked here for six years and have never had any supernatural encounters, even when working the night shift alone. This is the first time I've heard anything along these lines from any of our guests as well. Somewhere there was a misunderstanding, as no previous owner has died anywhere on the property and to my knowledge no one has.

“great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

My kids and I stayed in one of the Sea Horse Lodging cabins for three nights and loved it. Very clean and comfortable. Well stocked with kitchen necessities, towels, bedding. Great access to the beach and very pet friendly. Nice indoor pool and the hot tub was to die for- very big, nice hot temp and a great view of the ocean. The staff in the office was very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend staying here to family or friends.

Room Tip: check out there virtual tours very accurate
