This was our fourth or fifth stay at Inn at Spanish Head around Christmas time. This time of year most of the towns along this stretch of Oregon Coast are quiet. It's a great time to tour and enjoy all the great shops and galleries with way fewer people than in summer. And, sometimes the weather can be unusually nice. We've had both warm, sunny days and lightly snowy days over the years. Inn at Spanish Head is centrally located to visit places north and south along the coast. The quality of the hotel is excellent, modern (although it's not that new any more), clean, and exceptionally well maintained. Also good is that the room rates are discounted this time of year especially Sunday through Thursday. All of the rooms, studios, suites have full ocean views through big windows, this hotel is right on the beach. Doesn't get any better. Walk out of the hotel and you're right on a great beach. The restaurant is good, too, if you don't feel like driving to another restaurant at the end of the day. Although, I will say, they had an extremely loud and inconsiderate wedding party in the restaurant at the same time we were there this time. The staff explained they don't usually do this, they just thought they would try to fill the otherwise slow restaurant. Big mistake and they should know better. We won't eat here next time, that's just the way it works. We'll get over it eventually, though, I'm sure (in a couple years). This isn't really an ad for Inn at Spanish Head, I just realized how much I like this place as I was writing this (except for the restaurant experience, of course). Overall beats several other very nice places we have stayed (Salishan, Inn at Otter Crest).

The staff is by far the best or the worst experience you could have at any establishment. The staff here is exceptional. Very fast, friendly.

The view is exquisuite, and the rooms are awesome. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I will recommend this hotel to any and all I come across.

Great view for the sunset. We slept with the sliding doors open and listened to the beach. It was wonderful. Great staff. Our room was a suite and found it to be very homey and comfortable. The rocks are beautiful and hold secrets of the sea once the tide is out. The Ghost Forest is only 10-15 minutes north and,, once again, when the tide is out you can walk among the petrified stumps of trees that per science.....2000 yrs ago or so, a earthquake or tsunami leveled this area and the tree stumps were buried with sediment and sand. On a good low tide day, some are still visible. A haunting sight to see. Great photos too!

This is by far one of the most clean and fun place to stay. The meals at the restaurant are delicious. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We will be going back very soon.A+++++++
