“Not all I expected.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Pros: Center of town, right on the lake, clean, good internet connection, dog friendly and they go above and beyond to see to your pets needs, there was a great sunset view from the room.

Cons: Lots of noise from people walking by the hotel, train traffic, uncomfortable beds, small TV's with no HD. Also we purchased a special package and not everything that was promised in the information about the hotel was there.

“Visit to Lewis & Clark college”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

After reading the previous reviews for this hotel and others in the area I decided to give the Lakeshores Inn a try over the chain, big brand hotels. I was glad I did. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. Since my daughter was going to be staying at the nearby college and my wife stayed home with the animals, I took the smaller non-view room. The room was nice but after seeing the lake view and the weather was great, I wish I had spent the extra dollars for the view. The desk staff let be visit one of the King View rooms and next time we are in the area we be back to stay at the Lakeshore Inn. The one less than positive was the continental breakfast, it was a selection of small pastries that were just OK at best although the coffee was good. There are several small restaurants within walking distance and an Albertson's and Starbuck's across the street. Overall, this was a good value and a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the Lake View room.

“Love the lake and nearby shopping”

The rooms are comfortable...suites have kitchens and separate bedrooms, so good for multiple couples. The hotel is near everything...theatre, shopping, grocery stores, coffee shops are all in walking distance!

Room Tip: Lake view rooms have peaceful views of the lake!

“Updated rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

The rooms have been updated. The hotel is still old...the beds were just ok. If you're not on the the top floor you can hear people (kids) running about. The place is dog friendly.
The website does not tell you that the entire property is NON SMOKING>>> so off to the end of parking lot you go in the freezing cold. I don't know If I'd go again, it was pretty spendy.
The staff was nice enough..the place was clean. there is a computer in the lobby where you can check your email. the bathroom sink is new but there is no where to put your makeup, etc to get ready. The lighting in the room is rather dark. and there is no freezer in the fridge.

Room Tip: either top floor or ground floor by pool

Lake Oswego is so clean and nice. They staff at Lakeshore Inn were so accommodating. It was an enjoyable stay. Very close to Lewis and Clark. About a 10 minute drive to downtown. Surrounded by nice shops.
