This hotel is a mixed bag. I've stayed here before and have taken note that the property needs a "clean up, paint up and fix up" management. It was never horrible but aging and in need of maintenance. Rooms were often just a bit musty and not quite clean and well-maintained. I was surprised this weekend to find my room was basically clean and everything worked as it should. I think the management must have responded to at least some of the concerns voiced by myself or others or I was just lucky. It still needs some updating and spiffing up but clearly fine for a night or two. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was a bit cold at times and the French Toast a bit difficult to eat. My stay was OK, not bad and nothing to lose sleep over. I hope the management continues to make better efforts to keep this place clean and in decent repair.

Early into our week-long road trip, we noticed that we booked this hotel via a website on the wrong date! We called to explain the mistake and the friendly people fixed the date for us. Upon arrival, front desk was also efficient and friendly.

The hotel is not brand new, but is clean, spacious and comfortable. As you expect from Residence Inn, it comes with a sitting area and full kitchen. The price is also good, esp with breakfast included. I don't know what I can complain about...

Excellent stay. Great staff. Comfortable (aging) hotel. Minor issue - wired internet service (both wired and wireless available in rooms) was slower than expected.

We've stayed at this hotel twice recently. Of course, this isn't where I'd choose to stay for a romantic weekend; but for a family stay, it really works well and is a good value. We knew we needed to stay somewhere for a few days, so it was nice to have enough room that we weren't under each other's feet all the time. My older kids needed to get some school work done, so we chose the Residence Inn so we'd have enough room and enough light to work.

The pros: excellent staff who went out of the their way to serve; the evening drink social in the lobby (they served salad and pulled chicken sandwiches, too); the extensive options for breakfast; the spacious, light-filled room; our unit was really clean, and I'm pretty picky about this; lots of closet space; not being located right on the freeway so it's quieter than some others; proximity to Trader's Joes

The cons: not enough hot water for showers!; the mattress wasn't as comfortable as I would hope; the decor is modest but somewhat dated; the pool/spa were closed (seasonal) and, even though it was a beautiful day, the sport court was unswept and covered with leaves so we couldn't use it; we had to go to the lobby to ask for a log for the fireplace (which they graciously provided, but it really should have been in the room to begin with since they advertise their lit fireplaces on the website. Yes, I am getting knit-picky here, but I'll include it to give a more complete picture.)

While you may get "left out in the cold" when it comes to showers (which is a pretty significant issue), and I wouldn't count on a really great night's sleep (but who can when traveling with kids anyway!), because of its value, large rooms, and great staff, overall, I would recommend this to a family traveling with kids, especially if you need to stay for several nights.
