“A Quiet Warm Atmosphere”

We happened upon your resort as we were passing through Klamath Falls. We were hoping to find lodging that was away from the highway and offered more than the chain hotel options.
What a wonderful find! My initial phone call was answered by a very welcoming respresentive, George, and we were personally greeted upon our arrival.
Our room was very spacious, well-appointed, clean and over-looked the golf course.
From our arrival thruout our stay, the resort offered a personal touch within a casual yet beautifully natural decor. . .we never needed to get back in our car. . . everything we wanted was within 1/2 block. . .we had a delicious pizza & salad at the bistro & enjoyed a great wine selection at the on-site liquor store.
We look forward to returning soon!

“Off Season Choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

We found the Running Y to be an ideal destination in early December: With Christmas decorations in place and wassail a-flowing, we were transported to a Christmas not common to our home in north central Texas. Rooms were newly furnished and the lobby was only surpassed by the friendliness of the hotel staff. No waiting lines for admission to area attractions, clear roads, and beautiful crisp weather made our stay at Running Y a grand pre-Christmas experience.

“Rustic & Charming”

This was our 2nd stay at the Running Y property. But, this was our first time staying in the lodge (on a previous visit we stayed in the timeshare portion). The lodge is nice. The rooms are pretty nice, but not as gorgeous as the lobby with the large fireplace. The rooms are still good though, and most have views of the sweeping landscapes and golf course. The lobby also has incredible huge doors that open via motion sensor...it makes you feel sooo ritzy!

We went to get away, and try the spa. The spa is a part of the pool, game room complex. I wouldn't say it had 'spa like' atmosphere...but the lady doing my massage knew what she was doing. There was also a pool table, and that was fun.

The Running Y is a part of a 'village'. There is a supermarket, coffee shop, restaurant, and more all on the grounds. This makes it nice, because Klamath Falls is about 10 minutes away. The prices are higher of course, but I didn't think it was too bad for a resort. Overall we had a very nice time, and it is quite relaxing and beautiful. I don't doubt that we will return again some day for a quick getaway.

Room Tip: Ask for a 'golf course' view room.

“Time to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

and that is just what we did...right from the start with the two wide doors opening automatically and seeing the fireplace made one at peace...the front desk staff< George> was excellent, she answered every question we had about the place and didn't make us feel rushed even through there were people behind us...the room was fantastic and the view was wonderful <some snow with animal trails> got to look out onto the golf course...had coffee on the patio whenever we were in the room...and now for the restaurant the food was great and prices not bad either...the staff were every helpful and pleasant...and thanks to Debbie for the great massage...the outdoor ice arena was awesome, haven't skated in years, the fireplace out by the arena, a cup of coffee <with some baileys> was a great way to end a night...was a great Groupon deal...hope to drop in next year but at a different time

Room Tip: the golf course side is great...

“Beautiful townhouse amazing price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We ( 2 couples ) spent 4 nights in a huge 3 bedroom, beautifully furnished and equipped, townhouse for $177 per night ( a free upgrade when the two bedroom was not available). The date was the third week of October but the weather was beautiful our entire stay. We used the hot tub on the large deck and the barbeque also. It was the most bang for my buck I have ever received staying in a condo. We usually stay in condo rentals when we vacation and this one was the best bar none. We had 4 nights and a bargain on golf also. We golfed for two days and spent time in Klamath. Did a little bird watching and had a hike. It was like a wealthy friend lent you his vacation home. There was more equipment in this kitchen than most homes. It was very clean with lovely furniture and art. The resort had a nice indoor pool and a spa with many services. You could find most needs met on site or it was 10 minutes to Klamath Falls. We enjoyed our stay here very much. I wish they had bike rentals but the staff said people were accident prone with them so they were discontinued.

Room Tip: Ask for the townhouses with hot tub decks.
