Stayed here for a couple of nights in October for a business trip. This is one of the better hotels in Hillsboro. New, modern, very clean. Internet connectivity is pretty good and made working inside the room quite productive. Staff is attentive and quite helpful. Shuttle is also available for drop off/pick up within close proximity. There is a small on-site restaurant - the oatmeal was excellent. For dinner, I went to pick up food at the Spaghetti Factory next door.

I will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend!

I have been staying at this hotel frequently for the past 6 years and the staff is top notch. The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are warm, inviting and offer all of the technology options I need to be productive. The hotel also features a restaurant and bar which makes it convenient to grab a quick bite when my schedule is crazy. The staff here treat everyone like family and are always gracious and express their genuine gratitude for my business. This hotel is close to Intel and nearby many dining and shopping options as well.

Over ten years ago I moved from the Pacific Northwest and return freequently for business in the Hillsboro area. The first place I look for a reservation is the Courtyard in Hillsboro. I stay at this property because I know what I am going to receive before I even get there. The friendliest staff, even through there have been changes of managment and staff, is the theme at this property. Their professionalism and their friendliness is to be emulated by other hotels that wish to establish life long guests. I don;t use the word customers because I have NEVER felt like a customer when staying at this property, I feel like I am visiting family and friends.
The remodeling jobs over the past ten years have made this property feel even more like I am coming home and can sit down and relax instead of being inside a box for the evening after my day is done.
To me this is a prefect example of a Marriott property that is enhanced by the coporate culture of the owning company which strives at every level to make their guests feel right at home.

I have been staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Portland Hillsboro hotel for a number of years, nearly a decade in fact. This property has gone through a number of modernizations over the years. Most recently, every aspect of the hotel was refreshed with new paint, a new lobby, and like-new rooms with modern amenities (e.g. flat screen TV, desk workspace, free wifi, etc.). I like this property because it sits off the beaten path, but is near everything I need while in the Hillsboro area. For example, my favorite near-by restaurant on business is Stanford’s, my favorite near-by family restaurant is Red Robin, my favorite near-by get a quick bite is Chipotle, my favorite near-by coffee shop is Starbucks, my favorite near-by evening entertainment is going to the movie theater. Everything is near-by without the noise or traffic. I’ve read other Courtyard reviews talking about the smell. I have noticed it too, but it wasn’t enough for me to request a room change. Simply, it comes from the HVAC unit in the room. I don’t use it to avoid the smell. However, I do the complimentary coupon for breakfast in the morning. The food staff is pleasant and efficient, but the food is below average. The bacon reminds me of Sizzlean from the 80’s. Do these things keep me from staying there the next time? No, because I don’t go to the Marriott for their breakfast. I go for a quiet environment and a clean room. This is what the Marriott-Hillsboro delivers on. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
