I tried to rate this place already, my review was rejected without explanation. Probably I was describing things too well and it struck someones nerve.
So, to recap things quickly.
Stayed here for 2 weeks (paid with points) and that was the worst stay in the area ever. Even Motel6 in Tigard was bit better (not much though). Should've checked out way sooner, just wasn't sure what would happen to all the Marriott points I've spent.
The only good thing about this place is its front office staff. Super nice, super competent. And there's free tea and coffee in reception area. So far so good. Then it just gets worse.
Got room 121, pretty close to main reception. Room was very dark, had to switch the lights on pretty much each time of day. They were cutting the trees just outside the window when I was leaving, maybe that helped, maybe not.
Room is pretty big, with a flat TV (no HD channels, pity), bed, sofa, kitchenette (fridge, microwave and a electric kitchen) and a bathroom (bath curtain instead of glass for flood prevention - cheap and ugly).
Cleaning? Don't get me started. "Refreshment" is done daily (basically making your bed and reshuffling towels), "cleaning" is once a week. It's not true cleaning though - I haven't cooked anything and there was still that nasty oily stain next to the kitchen (for two weeks nobody cleaned it, can you believe). Also there was a dead insect (one inch long or so) on the carpet just next to the door - wasn't cleaned for two weeks as well. Tells you about cleaning standards.
Internet? Worst ever. Ever. I mean, someone sends you a YouTube link and it takes 10+ minutes (!) to open it. Forget company mail, VPN, e-banking and so on. (it was so frustrating - actually it'd be better if they didn't offer internet at all -- I'd spend more time in nearby cafes, all with working internet)
And this is a hotel that's very close to Intel, mind you. Professionals - stay away from this place.
I filed a complaint (manager is also nice - as is all front staff), got mere 20000 points back (2 nights stay, out of 14). Was told "you should've told us sooner". Well, my answer to that is as usual - "it should not have happened in first place!".
Will never stay in that place again.
Avoid. For the same price range you have SpringHill Suites 2 miles away - way better, and with working internet, and with HD, and... And just go there. Or Fairfield Inn Beaverton - even better, that one.
