We got a great deal, so for the price we paid, I think the hotel was decent enough. It hasn't been updated recently, so it has a mid-80's feel, but the bed was comfortable, the continental breakfast was good and the staff was great!

Our swim team who came to swim at the Mt. Hood Community College, and we stayed at the Days Inn. Because of bad weather, our pans were changing all the time, and Anisha, the Manager, was so accommodating to us. Computer available in the lobby, with a printer. She even let our bunch of kids watch a movie in the breakfast area when we were delayed. I can't say enough good things about her.
The rooms were fine, and the beds were really comfortable--one of the best hotels beds I've slept in. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but better than standard continental.

1st of all i must say, i did not have reservations,,we actually made them at the next door hotel,,which we travel several hours in horrible weather to get to,, its friday the 13th, ,to make a long story short nothing worked in our room and they werent willing to give us another one,,so we left,,, and we went across the road to days inn, walked in and i felt like my dad was there at the desk,,he saw i was under such distress from the other hotel,, he made it simple quick and gave us a wonderful suite 10.00 lesser than the other place,,,even though its close to the airport only 1 plane at 3 in the morning woke us up,,but we went right back to sleep,,the bed was so comfortable, i would have brought my own pillows though,,but no big deal,,,and we thought the spa at this room wasnt working either,,but i pushed the reset button on the outlet and yeah ! it came on,,,i will be back , the breakfast ,,was ok,,,you make your own waffles,,but its nothing special,,,

This was my first trip to Oregon. Ever since I watched the Goonies as a child I've wanted to visit. I finally did it! I booked my trip and left the husband and dog back in Chicago. I flew into Portland, rented a car and drove to Oceanside. I stayed in a beautiful little B&B there that surpassed my expectations. The next two nights I spent at another great place in Cannon Beach. My trip was going perfectly. I was amazed at how everything was falling into place.

Day 4 in Oregon found me at a spa for a few hours in downtown Portland before continuing on to the Days Inn in Gresham. I was on cloud 9. Then the storm struck as I arrived. I had to sit in my car for 20 minutes and wait for the rain to stop because staff members had their cars parked in the sheltered pull-up area for guests! I enter the building to an offensive B.O. smell in the tiny security vestibule that no longer gets used.

I was greeted by two teenaged girls. One of them clearly had no business being behind the counter. I think she was a friend of the actual employee just hanging out on the internet. The true employee checked me in and told me to take the STAIRS up to the second floor. UGH. I did . . . I lugged my bags up to the second floor and entered room 231. Wow! I've never experienced such a nasty hotel. The toilet seat was literally rotting . . . it had white missing in roughly 23 spots. Nasty. The air unit hadn't been wiped down in YEARS!!!! The walls had black, brown and red marks at every glance.

The fitness center is a joke! It is a 15x8 room with no air, a rotting door and 3 pieces of equipment piled on top of one another from the 80's. No joke. The pool and hot tub . . . ewwww. When you can see green on the bottom I think it's a sign to stay away!!!

I called Orbitz to tell them to take this hotel off their offering plate. They called the hotel and they've put me in a better room. The toilet seat is actually white now and the air unit is newer and therefore, less grimey.

Don't say you weren't warned. So much for a perfect vacay!
