My husband and I spent one night at the Days Inn on SE Stark St. in Gresham, OR in September 2011 while we were in town visiting family. We were traveling with our dog, and this Days Inn met our needs as an inexpensive dog-friendly motel. Our room was clean, and fairly large. Unfortunately there was a lot of traffic noise since we were in a room right on the busy street (we discovered in the morning that one of the windows was open, but I don't think it would have made much difference if it had been closed). We didn't hear much noise from within the hotel when we were in the room, just the traffic noise from outside.

The breakfast provided was decent, pretty much what we've come to expect of a "continential breakfast" at this level of motel (waffles, muffins, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, etc.) Other standard amenities offered by this Days Inn include things like free wifi in-room, hairdryers and coffee makers, in-room safes, computer in lobby, etc. There was also a swimming pool. We paid a $10 dog fee, which I think is very reasonable compared to other dog-friendly motels/hotels.

Dog-friendly hotel/motel options are limited, so the next time we're in the Gresham area and need a place to stay for a night or two, we would consider staying at this Days Inn location again. We might try to ask for a room away from the busy road, though.

We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights and a 3rd room for just the 2nd night. Our first 2 rooms were available with no problem. While not a glamorous hotel, the rooms were fine for our needs - we were down for a wedding and didn't plan to spend a lot of time in our rooms. The 3rd room was for only one night and when my son (with wife, toddler and baby) came to check in he was told they had no room for him. They did say that they had the confirmed reservation in their computer, but "oops". They had no room. Sorry. All three reservations were made nearly 2 months in advance. What part of "Confirmed Reservation" do we not understand?

We have a small dog and needed a couple of nights near Portland. The Days Inn on 182nd St. Just off the I-84 did the job. Our rate was $54 per night which included a decent breakfast though the place was crowded due to a busload of young people. They keep several rooms for dogs which cost $15 extra per night. The room had a king bed and small fridge with coffee maker. WiFi was free. The room was clean, rugs freshly shampooed. Bed blankets were ready for the discard bin, probably due to dogs. The manager, Larry, was very nice and we were able to park our camper trailer next to the building. Location is convenient to access 205 around Portland or 84 along the Columbia River. The indoor pool needed cleaning but we don't use them. fitness room was small. Dining is near the hotel. We would stay there again if we bring the dog.

Not a bad hotel for the money. Staff are friendly; Pool and hot tub are a nice touch. Breakfast just OK. Internet connection works well and was free.

I did try a few sports bars in the area and was very disappointed with them. Infact there are a lot of bad restaurants in this area. But there was a roadhouse restaurant nearby that was very well run with tasty ribs. Hotel is very close to ONsemi
