“Car burglarized, No security, no cameras - and no concern”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2011

people found this review helpful

I was awakened on the 3rd day of my stay by the front desk calling to tell me my car had been broken into. Evidently the security guard/laundry man (their words, not mine - he does laundry and rounds of the property) had "noticed movement" by my vehicle at 4:45 am and disregarded it when he just found an empty garbage bag. In subsequent conversation with the employee he claims he looked at the car and no damage was apparent. Ironically, however, there WERE several empty garbage garbage bags in the back oy my car and everything had been emptied. So I supsect he never really looked at my car and it had already been burglarized. Another guest at the hotel reported that the window of my car was broken out after noticing a shoe beside the car at 5:10 am. The hotel refused to put me in contact with the guest who was generous enough to report the vandalism. The ONLY thing the hotel was willing, and eager, to do was clean up the broken glass around my car so no other guests knew a theft had occured. When I submitted a police report they were eager to get a copy as "if this happens enough and its documented we can get insurance to cover the parking lot". Stay at your own risk, and do not expect any help when it is your property that is damaged. For the record all the thieves got was boxes full of records - the damage to the car was worth more than the street value of anything taken. This hotel is not worth the risk, as they all seemed to consider it a normal occurence and it was just my turn.

“Pleasant surprise and super cheap!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2010

I stayed at this hotel for a She & Him concert in Portland that same night. This was a great experience for the both of us. The room was clean, tidy, and the bed was firm. This obviously isn't a luxury hotel, but they never intend it to be. Checking in was super easy, quick, and painless. The one and only downfall was the pet policy. I'm sure it's customary to charge $25 for a pet of any size, but I'm sure this could be modified. We had a 12 lb Boston Terrier that was crated when we were outside the room. I know this is something that all hotels usually charge, but after the room is checked and cleaned, you should definitely have an option to get the money back. Oh well, the place was good for what it was.

“Better experience than two years ago”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

Going to an event in Corbett so good location for us. Location is very convenient off of I-84 but no freeway noise. Got an incredible rate through priceline ($41 incl. taxes/fees). We stayed here two years ago and were ready this time with the aerobed as the beds are really not large enough for two above-average sized people.

Suprisingly, we stayed in one of the handicap rooms on first floor with two separate beds (no need for aerobed). The beds are still very firm but they are better than when we stayed here two years ago. Room #111 was HUGE and looked out on the entrance. Even so, very quiet...didn't hear anyone coming or going (although we could hear some children running around above us...not loud enough to bother us though). Other than that minor point, absolutely great hotel and no complaints. Two years ago, I stated this is a well-managed ESA and that is still the case. The staff we interacted with were friendly, the facilities were clean and well-maintained and there was absolutely no pressure for us to get out of the room when we running about 30 minutes late. Having stayed in several ESA's over the years, this is the best.

“Reasonable deal for $52; good clean no-frills motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2010

i got a ten dollar off esh10 coupon off extended stay website for enrolling in e mail specials. i paid a total of fifty two dollars including all taxes, which was a reasonable deal for the value. kitchette with stove and microwave and fridge; some dishes and pots and cutlery. nice lcd flat screen large tv. bed comfortable. i got end room that had two windows so lots of natural light. close to interstate but in quiet corner. i was not disturbed by train noise. no breakfast served. they were supposed to charge $45 plus tax but actually charge $55 plus tax and then refunded $10, which results in an overcharge of $1.88 of tax they never paid but it is small amount and lady checking me in was nice enough to willingly print my southwest boarding passes for free on her printer

“OK hotel for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2010

I stayed there for a week. Staff is friendly. Room is standard, two beds, small TV, fridge, microwave, sink and small stove. Everything is ok. Conviniently located near I-84, but not too close to hear cars. No pool, no breakfast, just the essentials. Internet was about $5 for the week. Clearly, not the best hotel I stayed in, but overall, for the money I paid - pretty good.
