I arrived in Grants Pass for a funeral, so suffice to say, the trip was not for fun. The Lodge turned out to be a good choice, as sometimes, little things really can make a difference. The staff - Brian, Michelle, Elizabeth, Pam, and Nikk - were fantastic. When we arrived, we immediatly felt welcome with a fire burning in the lobby, and complimentary wine, cheese, and crackers served. Later, it was milk and cookies before bed! Before departing they helped us on the computer to check out road conditions.
The rooms, though in an older building, are spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. Tea, available in the lobby, was so good that upon our return, we had to look it up and order some online. Finally, the location is pretty, with the river running by. Traffic noise was a minor inconvenience in our particular room, but no worse than any any other in-town location, and probably better than most. Highly recommended!
