We recently stayed at Gearhart by the Sea and had an outstanding time. We stayed in room 748 which was a top floor, corner unit. When we stepped into the room I was amazed with the size of the room. It has two bedroom's, two bath with an upstairs loft that the kids just loved. Normaly I would have paid over $500.00 for a room of this type but we paid half of that. (A true bargain with an awesome ocean view). The room as well as the common areas were spotless and well maintained and the resort staff was very friendly and accommodating. The indoor swimming pool was a comfortable temperature also. The only knock I would have was that the television in the living area was rather small and the wicker entertainment center was a bit outdated. We look forward to returning again and again. For such a large resort it was very quite and peaceful.

Unit 468 was impressive when we first entered. Spacious ground floor unit went rapidly downhill as we inhaled the sour smell that permeated every inch. Stains on upholstered dining chairs of unidentified origin. Thin mismatched towels. Dead flowers in deck pots, one of which had four old cigar butts in it. toilet ran half the time we flushed it. One pouch of coffee. No hairdryer. The list goes on. Way too expensive for the quality. Celebrating our anniversary..we wouldn't let this ruin our trip, but really!!! Don't waste your hard earned money here.

We stayed here with our family, and didn't know how to choose a good unit. They are individually owned and furnished. Ours was a bit run down and shabby, the bedding was circa 1980's. The couch looked good, but sat poorly. Glad we didn't spend much time in our room.

This was my husbands first trip to the Oregon Coast. We found out about this place from some friends who were going at the same time we were planning our trip. When we made our reservation we were informed that the condo we were going to rent had not been rented out before and we could not see pictures of it. At first I was a little frightened about this "grab bag " approach. We had looked at other photos of rooms, not too exciting but , clean and priced right. So, we went for it. We were very pleasantly surprised, our condo was amazing! Up to date , clean, beautiful color scheme,, we loved it! We even had a nice flat panel t.v. mounted on the wall. The kitchen had stainless appliances and was very well equipped. The only thing I didn't like, ( more of an annoyance) was the T.P. holder in the bathroom, it looked nice but was not very well placed. We saw the room that our friends stayed in, kind of looked like grandma's house. I understand why some would not like that feeling. Our unit was a perfect fit for us though, and we will be coming back in the future and asking for the same unit. To the owners of G609, thank you for deciding to rent out this great space. To the staff at the front desk, you guys are amazing!
