This was our first experience in US of B&B and it didn't disappoint. At first sight the location wasn't great- just off a busy road next door to an RV park but once inside Blue Heron Inn it's a different world with fabulous views.
We stayed in the Heron's Nest room and overlooked the garden on one side with some beautiful birds passing buy. The room was very clean & spacious and there were toiletries aplenty in the bathroom along with local infomation and Oregon magazines in the bedroom.
Maurice and Stella were excellent hosts with Maurice having a mine of information and first hand knowledge of Oregon- this ranged from distance times for our onward travel as well as all of the towns worth stopping at.
Breafast was super - healthy and plentiful. The eggs were to die for - served as a souffle which didn't sink on serving.

Kathy and I are frequent B&B guests, and felt a close freindly connection to our hosts at this B&B. The rooms were large, clean with every amenity you could want. The common areas are plentiful, with lots of rainy weather activities available. Stella and Maurice produced wonderful and varied breakfasts. Maurice found a great hike for us to do in the Dunes (away from people)...and gave the best advice for dining spots. Lots of resource information on hand...and if you cant find it ....Maurice wll.

Maurice and Stella are excellent host. Their property is nice and cozy. We stayed in the Victorian Room which was very spacious and clean. I highly suggest this bed and breakfast while in Florence, OR. They are very welcoming and have lots of information about the area. They recommended a great restaurant called Waterfront Depot and we had a lovely dinner. We loved the breakfast they made for us, really good food and great presentation. Plus I have food allergies which Maurice took in account while preparing my breakfast. We would definitely stay in Blue Heron Inn again.

Gracious hosts, Maurice & Stella Sousa, food was out of this world, presentation was A plus. Atmosphere was warm, prositive, friendly. Our room was neat and clean, windows were spotless. View of river and mountains was wonderful. This B & B is situated at Florece, Oregon which is a beautiful community on the ocean. Folks are country friendly. Plan to return, at least, annually.
