The clerk watched up unpack our bags and struggle through the two outer doors - no automatic opening doors here. He then told us that we should not have bothered unpacking the car as the accommodation building was around the back. "Why don't you put up a sign saying so" we asked. He shrugged and said "because we don't". What a good start. Our room was OK. Reasonably clean, functioning (although the bathroom central light has fallen out of its socket and the carpet was stained) and quiet. The building itself looks like an army barracks - square and plain. Breakfast was again nothing special in a small, cramped dining area. Nothing at all to recommend this hotel. It was also one of the more expensive options on our trip.

$100 with taxes in, decent, clean, good value, need to use stairs if you want 2nd floor, no frills, but has what you need.

We have a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Breakfast was great (included lots of items including waffles). Beds were nice. They are little pricy but i didnt mind paying little extra for the comfort. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stopped in Florence without any advance planning other than checking the AAA book while driving down the road. Ready to stop for the night, we looked for an interior-corridor hotel in Florence (since they tend to be quieter). This seemed to be the only one.

We were satisfied with the accomodations for a one-night stay although we had obtained nicer lodging for less money in other towns along the coast. A car show was in town, and all the hotels/motels seemed to fill up for the night, so we felt lucky that we had stopped in time to get the room. The room had 2 queen-size beds and was clean. The rooms were located in a building behind the hotel office building which also housed the exercise room and breakfast area. This was not an issue for us; we were actually glad to be further from any possible highway noise. The building did not have an elevator -- not an issue for us, but anyone with a physical disability would certainly want to ask for a 1st floor room.

The breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, make-your-own waffles, fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice, and apple juice (and maybe bread and English muffins) -- a decent start to the day, but again, we had better breakfasts at other hotels along the coast -- would not describe it as a full breakfast.

I would recommend this hotel only for a one-night stay along the way.
