My six year old son and I stayed here for the PAC 12 championship game weekend. I wanted something affordable and this was one of the few places that did not double their prices for events. It was clean, extremely spacious and I loved the location! The Whitaker neighborhood is very artsy and funky in the way I like. I was four blocks from a natural food store and excellent small restaurants. Yes, the night does bring a few savory characters, but I do not find them threatening and felt safe in that location. Red Apple Market and 7-11 across the street, access to four bus lines. And for me, close to downtown as Eugene Station was a half a mile away. We walked to Alton Baker Park, the Fairgrounds was walkable too. The staff was friendly. We left my son's "cuddly" and although it was not found they did look for it and gave me a call. Yes, the continental is just those funky pastries and coffee, but that is minor. The room has a refrigerator and microwave and with all the stores close by, food was not an issue. We took advantage of the coupon, so at $47 plus tax you could not find a better deal. This is my official hotel for all Eugene stays.
