“The motel where hope goes to die.”

The one good thing I can say was that the people at the front desk were very friendly and personable. But once we got past check-in, the entire rest of the stay was an absolute nightmare.

We had dressy clothes because we were there to attend a graduation, but there was no place to hang them up. There also was no power outlet in the bathroom, so I had to use an outlet out in the room, standing in the bathroom doorway trying to see myself in the tiny bathroom mirrow (there was no other mirror in the room).

There was some kind of water leak in the bathroom--in the wall behind the bathtub faucet, I think--and it was coming up into the carpet in the room as well as through the floor tiles in the bathroom. Walking from the carpeted room into the bathroom, we were tracking mud from somewhere (was the carpet REALLY that filthy??)

The lighting in the room was terrible, and the bed had a sag in the middle that meant it was impossible to keep the bedding in place and sleeping was difficult and uncomfortable.

There also seemed to have been some people there who were living in some of the other rooms, evidently because they had nowhere else to go. There was a van filled with someone's worldly possessions, a trailer covered with a tarpaulin, a car up on blocks.

We booked the room from Priceline.com, and they said nothing about it being this horrible. Plus which, to make matters worse, we ended up paying $150 for a two-night stay in a tiny, filthy, dingy, uncomfortable room with a soggy floor!

Never. Again.

“Nite-mare Inn Motel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2008

Nite-mare Inn Motel is more like it. I booked on Hotwire so I didn't know what I was getting until I had paid for it. I had booked a great place the night before through Hotwire so thought I would take another chance. I was travelling home after a business trip and only wanted a cheap clean place, because I was back on the road at 6:00 a.m.

This place looked bad on the outside & was worse on the inside. I couldn't get the door open & the key broke in the lock. The bed smelled moldy. I got a shock from the bathroom light switch. I took a shirt out of my suitcase to put over the pillow (I have nevr done that before). After laying on the bed for an hour, I was covered in bug bites. The manager offered to give me a different room, but I decided to leave & found a better place up the road for $5.00 more.

Because, I had booked through Hotwire, the motel couldn't refund me. I had to go through Hotwire and they only credited me in Hotwire $$ wich I am not sure I will use again. I have never left a place without spending the night, but it was not worth my health or safety to save a few bucks.

  • Disliked — Left with bug bites.

“Nice place for the price tag”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2007

I have to say when we pulled up in front of the Nite Inn, I was a little put off by the shady look it had, and the "shady" people hanging around. But the rooms were extremely clean, with a big bathroom and comfortable bed. I was very pleased with the staff as the room was kept cleaner than most other budget motels I've stayed in. Great deal!

“A Little Sketchy”

Looking for cheap accomodations on a house buying trip to Eugene, we chose to stay at the Nite Inn because of the price and its location. At check-in we were given a smoking room. When I informed the clerk (owner?) that we couldn't have a smoking room because of our young child, he said that he was sorry but we had not requested a non-smoking room in advance. However, when making the reservation over the internet we were never given the option of smoking or non-smoking. When I mentioned that the place was empty and that there must be a non-smoking room available, we were informed that for an extra fee we could be put in a non-smoking room with two beds. The clerk seemed disinterested in assisting us but more than willing to make money off our desire for clean air for our child.

Furthermore, due to the various individuals hanging around the hotel that night and the flimsy doors, I slept better with the table moved in front of the door.

You get what you pay for, and this is very true in our experience with the Nite Inn.

“Nice for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2005

A good deal for the price, very clean room, carefully and attentively kept. For a real 'budget' motel, we were pleasantly surprised. The street is loud with traffic, the neighborhood isn't the most picturesque, but the motel was just fine for us. We slept well, everything worked, the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. Our host was available to answer our questions and was kind and helpful. What more can you ask for such a reasonable rate?
