Three couples happened upon this "Lodge" going to Crater Lake. Each room is decorated in elk,moose,bear, & cougar motif- quirky but CLEAN and sparkling (and wait till you see the toilet seats!!! we even took photos! cute) The hosts have thought of your every need. The owners are on premiss and expect their lodgers to take care of their room and surroundings. People who like a clean and rustic place should stay here. What some people might perceive as rude hosts might be because they are proud of their establishment and take great pride in their rooms and expect each guest to do the same. We really enjoyed being there and would stay again.

my father is a regular here... they recognized him when he came in for a room. They turned him away because he was dirty. He offered to change and they said it was too late. They admitted that they have never had a problem with him and still turned him away.He is the owner of a heavy haul trucking business a nice upstanding family man and he now has to sleep in his truck tonight. Horrible people

We have stayed here twice now. Last year it was just a lucky accident and this year it was on purpose. The rooms are wonderfully decorated with high end quality with a bed more comfortable than home. For a standard room there was a couch, dining table, coffee table, refrigerator, microwave ....the works. Although it is located on the highway, it really didn't bother us. We didn't find the owners to be anything but polite and accommodating. We also came back for the restaurant next door. The Mohawk has the best home cooking you will find anywhere...throw away your cholesterol counter and enjoy the museum-like dining room filled with thousands of interesting artifacts, animals and collectibles. This duo experience is worth returning for again and again.

If you are traveling toward Crater Lake or just heading to Crescent Lake, Crescent, OR you will be delighted with the accomodations. You just wouldn't expect to find such an adorable, comfortable and lovingly cared for motel on a little highway. Everything in the room is new, extremely clean, and comfy and soundproofed. The Larson family has done a fabulous job of renovating this adorable place. Right next door is a terrific restaurant, The Mohawk. Its a great stop!
