Super friendly hosts, and right by the water. The house is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. Tom and Stephanie were incredibly friendly and full of great information on Coos Bay history. Adorable puppy and the best apple butter i've ever had. Definitely take in dinner at the Porta.

Cozy house on the National Register of Historic Places, filled with antiques and bric-a-brac. Fair sized bedroom with twin beds/bathroom down the hall. Substantial breakfast, good travel information and general chat with the owner. My only criticism was that our room was not made up when we left for the day. The owner explained that there was a note on the wall, "so as not to disturb," but I still like a clean room especially a made bed and empty trash cans when I return. This is a good location from which to sight-see that part of the Oregon Coast.

We spontaneously arrived in Coos Bay and the Old Tower House was recommended to us. It has been lovingly restored and decorated and the proprietors are friendly. Our bed was marvelously comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay (for the same price as Holiday Inn Express). It is near Sunset Park and Shores Park and not far from downtown. Best of all, the Empire Cafe is across the street and it was truly exceptional.
