“Outdated but clean.”

We stayed at this location specifically as we were attending a local event. The room was clean, had a coffee pot, larger refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron, and kitchen sink with extra countertop. We were surprised in this day and age that there was no wifi or internet service available. The bed was extra firm, the shower water pressure was tremendous. The television had poor reception. If you want a clean room for $70 in Canby Oregon, this is a pretty simple place. The little mexican restaurant next door is a hidden treasure.

“horrible night's sleep; better off staying in Wilsonville”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

Apparently nothing has changed since the 2010 review--bed felt like a board with springs protruding--quite painful. The motel's sign advertises HBO in rooms--there was no HBO. We reserved a king smoking room three weeks prior to our stay. Upon check-in, we were informed that our room had been reserved by someone else two weeks prior. I pointed out that our reservation was made three weeks prior, and asked to cancel our reservation. At that point, the owners (who live on-site) had a conversation in their native language, none of which I could understand, then offered to let us have a non-smoking room, gave us ashtrays, and allowed us to smoke in that room. We checked out after one night and spent the rest of our stay at the Guest House in Wilsonville, just north and across the river--cost about $25 more, but worth every penny.

“Avoid at all costs!”

If you're looking for a hotel to get a good night's rest, this is NOT the place! The matresses are nothing but two box springs with minimal padding to sleep on! What a miserable experience. When I tried to discuss with the manager, I got the "I don't speak English" routine. The train passing by and blowing it's horn on the hour, every hour, throughout the night didn't help either. The train didn't bother me because I was already awake given the concrete bed I was expected to sleep on. I will give them 1 point for having a microwave, coffeee pot, and somewhat clean rooms. If you can't sleep, why pay for a hotel?

“Exquisite Respite ~~”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2009

Immaculately clean and extremely well appointed motel in a charming and
friendly little town . . . near an excellent winery (St. Josef's).
The staff are caring and most helpful, also.
Don't miss Canby . . . right across from this motel is 'Couches' ~~ stop in
for Happy Hour or a meal . .. comfy and welcoming also!
