We stayed two nights in the middle of the week. Nothing fancy - just a room. It was clean and did not smell stale or anything. That's all I was looking for - a place to sleep.
They advertise a "free hot breakfast" - which means a self-serve waffle maker (or, I suppose, toast or bagel, if you consider that "hot"). The breakfast selection is pretty good but mostly bread-type things, with juice/milk/coffee. There were some small oranges and apples and instant oatmeal.
The location is good. If you want to visit the Newberry Volcanic Monument area (and, if you're in Bend, you probably do) then you want to stay on the south side of Bend. This is one of the southern-most hotels along the "main drag."
It was quick and easy (and free) to connect to the Internet via WiFi, and network performance was fine.
The ladies at the front desk were friendly and efficient, even though their printer was broken and they had to write stuff by hand. It has a pool (which we didn't use, but it was larger than many hotel pools).
