“Will not stay here again!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

My wife and I stayed in this hotel about ten years ago and for the money, it was a great value and very clean. When passing thru again, we thought we'd give it another try. The price was certainly fair but the room was not clean, lacking baseboards in the entire room, had bath towels and bathroom counter the size of a postage stamp. The room gave the overall impression that it was dingy and dirty. The window was very dirty. It was quiet there, even though there were many guests. The WI-FI worked very well, was fast and included in the room price.

We decided that we would not stay at this property again.

“Cheap can be nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

My husband and I were quite pleased. Our room was nice and clean. The breakfast was good, warm waffles you can make yourself. I mean, it's a cheap hotel, so you can't expect the world, right? Yes towels are not quality, and bedding is moderate, but it was comfortable and the staff was very nice.

Room Tip: 1st and 2nd floor king rooms have fridge and microwave.

“Rooms for smokers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

This hotel is in a very convenient location close to the Old Mill, other restaurants and the highway 97. The best feature was the pleasant and efficient lady at the front desk.
Otherwise the rooms were just OK.
If you ask for a smoking room you get one in the back next to a door that bangs shut all night (supposed to be locked at 7 PM). Also, in a smoking room you don't get the refrigerator and microwave that is advertised for all rooms in the expedia ad.

“Service Could Use Some Work”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

My friend and I booked this place over the Days Inn Motel we usually stay in when we come to Bend just to have some place a little nicer. There was a mistake, admittedly our fault, when we booked the place via Hotels.com. We needed an extra night so we ended up booking another night directly at the front desk. Unfortunately the lady working then was too busy or just forgot to put us in the computer. Needless to say, we get a call on Saturday saying we need to pack or stuff and hit the bricks.

The problem was eventually resolved, but we had to get two non-adjoining single rooms. All and all the whole fiasco wasn't the thing that upset me. What bothered me the most is the entire time (both talking to me via the phone, and my friend who booked the room in person) we were being treated as criminals as if we were trying to scam them out of a nights stay some how. The lady who talked to me on the phone was very snippy and I felt like I was being interviewed by the cops instead of a paying customer attempting to resolve a problem. It took my friend getting rude with the employee at the front desk to move past that and actually get her to resolve the issue. It is unfortunate it had to come to that.

The hotel rooms are clean, and the housekeeping staff was very good. The rooms are somewhat bare though (no iron, very few hangers, few bathroom amenities). The Days Inn motel we normally stay at had all these things and is cheaper. The Wifi is also relatively slow and cuts out now and again.

“Very pleasant stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

We chose this motel because it had breakfast, took pets, and was under the usual charge for a place right on the main road, near so many desirable places. We didn't know it adjoins a Fred Meyer mall area, which we considered a plus. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We noticed very little noise from adjoining rooms. The windows open. No micro or refer, but we knew that ahead. Didn't use the pools or the laundry facilities although they appeared nice. The breakfast surprised ups - expected muffins, bagels, some fruit, coffee. Got all that and fruit juices, flavored creamers, and a self-serve Belgian waffle with peanut butter, butter, jam and/or syrup. We were impressed and would definitely stay here again. Felt it was a great value for the money.

Room Tip: We were on the second level - high enough to leave the windows open all night.
