The Choice Hotels must be some kind of franchise because they are very - very uneven in quality. The rooms are only OK. Most other hotels of this character are better - Phoenix, Fairfield, etc. The breakfast here is terrible. I have never had microwaved scrambled eggs. The coffee is undrinkable. It is all pretty marginal. It is also located in the middle of a noisy parking lot.

These always only seems to be one person on staff, so not much help with anything.

Wife and I traveled to Bend, OR for a family matter and stayed at the Comfort Inn due to it's central location for all concerned. Rooms were large and comfortable, well worth the price. (mid range price for the area) Customer service was above average.

This was a quick stop on the trip home. We had a long drive there and were facing a long drive the next day. The hotel looked good on arrival, no busy roads around it, but easy access. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the check-in was quick and we were in a nice clean good sized room with no delays. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the linens were fresh and clean and there was a good shower head and lots of hot water. The internet connection was quick and flawless. It doesn't get much better than that. We left early so we didn't get a chance to try the breakfast. No problem recommending this as a place to stay if you're in the area.

Side note, if you want a good pizza call Abby's Pizza, quick and very good.

We stayed here one night on our way to Crater Lake. It's clean, w/ comfortable beds, and sparkling bathrooms. The warm breakfast food did not appear healthy nor tasty(possibly rehydrated scrambled eggs, biscuits w/ brown gravy, a gruel worthy of Oliver Twist). I chose the cold cereal. The Comfort Inn is in a non-descript part of town across from a strip mall. The Old Bend is a 5 minute drive away, and much more visually interesting. In Old Bend there are some wonderful restaurants, as well as the Deschutes Brewery & Pub(yum!)
