Wonderful hospitality, lovely rooms and a delicious breakfast. What more could you ask for? Well, we did get a splendid recommendation for our evening meal which turned out to be one of the best meals ever! Highly recommend this place and will be planning to return soon.

My husband and I stayed at Lara House during a recent road trip through Oregon. This was our favorite B&B on the trip, and indeed one of the best we've ever found. The location is perfect - right off Mill Pond in Bend's beautiful historic neighborhood, easy walking distance from downtown but very quiet and restful. The house itself is a thoughtfully and lovingly restored historic property, but with entirely modernized and updated amenities. Our room was extremely comfortable, with luxurious linens, a well-appointed bathroom, and a flatscreen TV/DVD player (there is a pretty extensive collection of DVD's available for guests' use). The owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable about Bend, and made a wonderful dining suggestion and reservations for us. We enjoyed a lovely glass of Pinot with nibbles during the evening social hour, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. We have nothing but good things to say about Lara House, and hope to return soon.

We traveled to Bend for a weekend of outdoor activities with friends. The Lara House was not only beautiful, but also centrally located for easy walking to restaurants and shopping downtown. Great breakfasts and coffee (coffee is ready early! Nice!) with pleasant decks and outdoor spaces for enjoying coffee in the morning or the complimentary wine/beer/hors d'ouevres in the afternoon. The Inn keepers are also very friendly and accomodating and we couldn't ask for more in a B&B setting. Far better than the popular alternative, the Phoenix, wonderful value and memorable experience.

Lara House Lodge is a beautifully restored historic house in a charming old neighborhood. The location is great, just a few blocks from downtown Bend. The hosts are both accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is a delicious treat, served with all organic foods. I had the pleasure of viewing all the rooms in the house and was surprised the each room's unique style and the overall cleanliness of the house. Lara House Lodge is a great retreat from the stress of everyday life. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Bend.
