“Great value and location in Old Bend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We stayed here for a quick ski trip - Mt. Bachelor is an easy 30 min drive. Location is perfect - ample free parking and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. A full breakfast buffet is included in your room price: eggs, waffle mix, breakfast meats, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruits, etc.,...not 5-dining but good enough to fuel you. There is a small gym and pool in the basement. Gym equipment was clean and OK - needs some TLC. Our king room was spacious and also clean - no major complaints: 27" or so flat screen TV, small microwave, mini-fridge, sofa / coffee table, desk / chair, slept fine. I am not a big fan of bathrooms with separate vanity / sinks on the outside, but that is just me. Neighbor noise was noticeable but not outrageous - perhaps request a room on the 3rd (top) floor. Overall a very good value and we would come back. Safe travels!

Room Tip: 3rd floor may alleviate some neighbor noise.

“One night in Bend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Stayed for one night. Hotel is within walking distance to shops and restaurants in downtown Bend. Hotel room was clean and comfortable but bathroom a little outdated. Free breakfast was included in the price and the eggs/bacon were tasty. Overall a nice place.

“Good location Spacious rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Stayed over the Holiday week. Spacious rooms, good breakfast (part of the room rate) and accommodating staff. The hotel offers suites, as well as standard queen rooms. A little mix-up at check-in was corrected..I understand the hotel is planning some renovations. Overall a good value.

Room Tip: The three bedded suite works well for families.

“Great location, ok hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

Our room/suite was quite spacious.. There was a small sofa & coffee table and a desk/table but only 1 chair. We had a flat screen TV, a microwave & a fridge. Lighting was ok but a little on the dim side. Our room was clean but some of the furniture was a little scuffed up & the lamps were dated. The bed was a little "soggy" but ok. The pillows were too soft for me. The window opened a few inches so we could get fresh air. Normally, I like to have a vanity/sink outside of the actual bathroom but, in this hotel, I didn't like it because it was right in the sleeping area, not out of the way next to the bathroom. In addition to being in a bad location, the sink/vanity was dated with a box type florescent fixture above it.

Our room was near the lobby. The Wi-Fi was not good. It was slow & I often had problems connecting & staying connected, especially in the morning. I had to call the front desk to get the log in code. There was a PC for guests to use in the lobby but it was always being used.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is easy to walk to downtown & to walking paths along the river. There are long hours for the continental breakfast: 6:30 - 10:00 weekdays & to 10:30 on weekends. There was a good variety of food - the quality of the food was ok. They did have real oatmeal, which is a plus for me. There wasn't any good quality, healthy bread for toast.

There is a pool & a very tiny spa in the basement which we did not use. Check in is at 4pm & check out is at noon.

“Very Nice Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

We only stayed one night but the room was very spacious. It was a suite with all the amenities one could want.

The front desk gave us a great recommendation for dinner that was spot-on. This hotel is located in the Old Downtown area and is quite quaint and fun to walk around to visit the many shops located nearby. They said the restaurant would give us a discount for being referred by the hotel, but they did not.

They have a complimentary breakfast that was so-so. They had freshly baked cookies in the lobby when we arrived, but since we were having dinner, we did not partake. It would have been nice to have some waiting for us when we returned.

All in all, a nice experience when staying in the downtown section of Bend.
