I just returned home from staying at this hotel and HAVE to write a review. I was thoroughly disgusted by this property! Prior to even staying there, I had a bad feeling about this place. When I called to make reservations, the person I spoke to was quite rude. Just bad customer service. I actually felt as though the reservation agent was mad that I was interupting her afternoon and she could care less if a sale was made. When I called a few weeks later to confirm the reservations I was spoken to in a very condecsending way and was made to feel like an idiot for asking for a confirmation number. I was told, in a laughing voice, that confirmation numbers were not needed. I've never stayed at a hotel where confirmation numbers WEREN'T given. I was traveling from out of state with five other people . . . of course I wanted some assurance that my rooms would be there when we drove into town! The package that I purchased included a complimentary bottle of champagne, however, I was not given our champagne upon check in . . . in fact, I didn't get it until I requested it AGAIN as I was checking out three days later. The refrigerator was broken and was not replaced or fixed even though I brought it to the attention of the staff immediately after we checked into the room. The large framed print on the bedroom wall (the main focal point of the room), was hanging completely sideways and when I tried to straighten it, the entire picture hanger system (nail, etc.) fell out of the wall, leaving a gaping hole. Also reported that shortly after checking in and it wasn't fixed during our stay, even though the housekeeping service came into our room everyday (so maintenance could have as well). In fact, the picture was just left leaning against the wall in my room. Although the hotel offers free wifi, I was unable to get connected to the Internet during our entire stay (three days). Oh, and there were ANTS! Over a three day span I killed 52 ants in our room and when I reported it, the front desk staff actually said, "Oh well, sometimes that happens. I'll have them spray your room for bugs after you leave." The nail in this hotel's coffin was this morning . . . as I was in the process of getting my stuff together to check out, I opened the window for fresh air, only to find people in the bushes down below my room (squatters? drug deal?) I was actually quite frightened, as these people (four of them) were adult men. The hotel itself smelled BAAAAAAD and was just plain dirty overall, needing many paint touch ups, carpet shampooing, etc. I will NEVER stay here again and would be embarrassed to tell anyone that I was dumb enough to stay here in the first place.
