Hilton Garden Inns are usually pretty good, some more so than others. The Lake Oswego one is usually quite good. The Beaverton one is also good and basically clean but it needs some work on "everything works as it should." The problem list is short: poor water pressure in a wimpy shower and a room that would have been quieter but for the sounds from the room above. Internet speed could have been a hair better. Some shopping bags I was saving that were nowhere near the garbags cans were thrown out (thankfully nothing that valuable inside). A good hotel but needs a little improvement.

We stayed here twice during the holiday season and the staff was great. The room was comfy and just what we wanted. There was a baby next door but we hardly heard him. Our room had a nice roll-in shower. Our only disappointment was we paid for breakfast onsite and it was not good. All of the things in the warming trays, potatoes, sausage, bacon, were cold by the time we got back to our table. There wasn't any way that we could see to warm up the pastries either. There was a special written on the board of "Sausage and Peppers" but when we asked for it we were informed that the special is only offered when the board is lit. This was 7:30 am so it seems kind of funny they'd be out of it already. They did have a fresh Belgian waffle maker and you could get made to order eggs/omlettes. It is just with the cold food that it just wasn't worth the $10 a piece for us. We would not make that choice again. Other than that though, really a great stay!

Nice place for the $63 I paid. I won't pay the $143 they wanted for the next day I was going to be in town. And these were AAA rates.

The HGI Beaverton is a newish hotel off of the Sunset highway. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. They featured the HGI "dial" bed which lets you control how firm the mattress is. I'm not a huge fan of this feature, but it is what it is. The room also had a micro-fridge and a microwave which was a nice touch. The shower was spacious and clean, but the shower itself didn't have that much pressure. There were free drinks and cookies in the lobby when we checked in. The hotel is a little difficult to find-- located behind the 24 hour fitness. There was a nice looking fitness room and pool with hot tub, but we didn't use them. There was also a well appointed business center with free printers and free color copier.
