“Dirty but had wifi and awesome beds”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

I was traveling on business and when I walked into my room the first thing I noticed was the dirt and stains on the floor. I was on the 4th floor room 405 and there were bleach stains in several spots as well as dirt buildup along the walls. If I brought my kids (ages 1-7) I would not want them crawling around on the floor. It was pretty gross. The bathroom was clean but with mold/mildew working its way into the caulking. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you like a lather--they do have pumps with soap and shampoo but didn't care for it myself.

BED: The bed however was awesome! The most important thing is being able to sleep. They had great beds and pillows! i slept awesome. Best part of the stay.

FITNESS: The workout room is small and the equipment old but in working condition. I ran for 45 minutes on the retired treadmill. I was thankful that they did have one.

INTERNET: The wireless worked each night but was very slow...am guessing due to many connections. One evening it was so slow I couldn't stream video without it pausing for several minutes in between runs. I had to stop watching it was so annoying. One of the evenings it did work well.

I wouldn't stay here again because I know there are several other hotels in the area where the beds are also nice and I am guessing the accommodations cleaner.

“Rooms good/Lobby F-”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Stayed here for 4 nights and was impressed with the room: bedding was comfortable, 2 televisions, 2 phones. Quiet. Shampoo and soap were dispensed from a machine in the shower, both of very low quality.

However, I was totally aghast at "services" available in the lobby. The absolute worst breakfast imaginable: rock-hard biscuits which were not replaced daily, eggs of unknown etiology, tepid coffee, a few old oranges and stale apples, and some mini-muffins that had to come from a week-old store. There was no hot water (or coffee) available after breakfast and no lids for the coffee cups. Budget too tight to afford hot water???? Absolutely abysmal. These people need major lessons from the Hampton Inn.

The business centered only had one computer and that faced the front desk so anything that was on the screen could be seen by anyone in the lobby. The computer was not connected to a printer; thus anything I wanted printed also had to be seen by the hotel staff (so much for client confidentiality). Dare I add the computer was set to retain passwords?

The pool was nice (never used) but machines were of poor quality the elliptical machine banged so much I actually thought the neighbors across US-26 would hear the knocks.

Room Tip: Bring your own laptop/printer and plan on purchasing breakfast outside the hotel.

“Dirty sheets! YUCK!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Relatively low priced hotel chain so my expectations were not high although having stayed at other Phoenix Inns I thought I knew what to expect. This property did not even live up to my already low expectations.
My children and I checked into an Executive Suite. First, we were ignored for 5 minutes while the woman at the desk chatted with a coworker snd s member of the housekeeping staff. We were given electronic keys to our room, neither of which would open the door. This was because they were never programmed. So, back to the front desk. Then back to the room where I pulled open the hide a bed to discover dirty sheets. YUCK! Called the front desk and was told they would "try" to find someone to come and change the sheets. Try? Really? I just saw you chatting with the housekeeping staff and you're going to "try" to find someone? Housekeeping came within 30 minutes or so and Was bet apologetic and quickly changed the sheets.
The breakfast buffet was dismal. About 60 guests and one person tying to keep up with everything. Out of food )which was not a great selection to start with), outt of utensils, very warm juice glasses.
And last but not least, get some real TP!

“Return to Phoenix Inn Beaverton”

Last year I sayed at this hotel via "mystery hotel" because of price and was very pleasantly surprised. So this year I returned for a soccer tournament. Pricing is very reasonable, location is good as its close to Hillsboro, Beaverton, and Tigard - easy access to freeways. The breakfast is okay, nothing special. I did notice more wear/tear from last year and less staff. The room was very comfortable, I like the fact that the king room has a separate sitting area with two TV's, it allows for business work. Good for business and family travel. No luxuries but very reasonable. Has workout area and pool is well kept. If you are on a budget this is a good hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room that does not face freeway (potental noise) and probably stay further away from eleva...

“Ok place to stay!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

Stayed here for 1 night while on a business trip in October. Other area hotels were sold out due to convention in Portland. The staff was nice and attentive. The breakfast is sufficient (nothing special, but ok). The hotel itself is pretty dated. Also, I found it odd that there is no curtain to cover the windows. There is a "sheer" curtain but you can see outside and vice versa. On the plus side, bed was quite comfy.

Room Tip: Don't stay on the 1st floor rooms. It's like a basement. I've heard from a co-worker it...
