Sidney was a fantastic host and clearly enjoys what he does but I should have known by the lack of photos that what we were to find was not going to be what I was hoping for. The view of the ocean is ok but obstructed by a few homes. The linens were older than I would think for a $200 room. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The toilet room was tiny. I think a quick trip to Macy's would solve the bedding issue and go a long way. I think that for the money, there are places in Bandon that would be worth looking in to. The breakfast was VERY good.

We had made a reservation here more than a week in advance and were looking forward to a relaxing couple of days. Unfortunately when we arrived, the door was locked and the innkeeper was nowhere to be found. There was a voicemail (left while we were in a cell-free zone) asking us if we were coming. But no note on the door, key under the mat, follow-up call etc. In the middle of high season, we were left hanging; at the very least the owner should have let us know that we needed to find other lodging. When, after 3 hours of waiting, we had heard nothing from him, we found ourselves a room at the Bandon Inn. It's not exactly a romantic hideaway, but it is a perfectly fine hotel, with ocean views just above Old Town Bandon (for about half the price.) We did receive a call the next morning apologizing and saying this is only "the second time this has happened." First and last time for us. Caveat emptor.

When we returned to our room about 2 hours after checking in, we discovered ants coming in the sliding door and windows, insufficient window coverings to provide privacy, and the owner absent from the premises. We decided we would rather drive home (4+ hours) rather than try to spend the night. The next morning I called to explain why we could not stay in the room and tried to get a refund. The owner was more interested in arguing about why I left the room key on the entry table and would not provide even a partial refund. We would not consider returning to this B&B and would take friends' recommendations to stay at the Inn at Face Rock on our next visit to Bandon.

A fabulous place with gourmet breakfasts. Sidney is marvelous! We have been twice, and can't wait to go again!!!
