We stayed in the Vern Brown addition.Location was great, right on the beach. It would have been "OK" but there were no screens!!!! and the flies were AWFUL!! The price seemed a little steep for a very dated room with lots of flies buzzing around and being a big bother. As for the view and being right on the beach, you can't beat it! The bed was pretty comfortable too.

Old, old, OLD....and not charming old, just yucky old. Carpet was stained and wavy from coming loose. Room was very dark and drapes were filthy and stained.. No side table next to the bed; no where to put a book or your glasses. The bathroom looked as if it had been "updated" in the 60s;cracked tile and grout. The view of the ocean was nice, but the only entrance to the room was a sliding glass door in front of which ran the walkway to the other rooms, hence if you wanted to watch the view, you had to be prepared to have other guests walking by less than foot away. We did get to watch (and listen to) quite a show from the room next door.....they kept coming out in their underwear (no joke) to smoke, then return to their room to yell at each other. Do not stay here.

Walk right over to the beach. Beautiful location. Large clean rooms. Resturaunt next door was good.

We stayed in an ocean front king room (building addition in 1988). The view is outstanding and the beach just plain gorgeous. The room was very clean and well kept but clearly dated; no real update since built in the 80's. There was a new couch and the bed was very comfortable. As long as you don't mind a little dated decor this is a great place to stay. The breakfast was pretty sparse (yogurt and packaged muffins) but we didn't go for the food.

We would stay again.
