I live in Baker City, and when I want to go out for a nice dinner, lunch or breakfast I go to the Geiser Grand. The service is always great - they are there to make your meal memorable. If you like steak their Grand Steak (6 or 12 oz) is always very high in flavor, tenderness, and always perfectly cooked - my favorite thing on their dinner menu. Their soups are made from scratch and the vegetables are fresh and sauteed with just a hint of fresh garlic. The entire staff at the Geiser Grand is friendly and accommdating. The dining room is comfortable and beautiful. I try to go at least once a month.

From the moment I made the phone call to inquire about reservations I had a good feeling about the Geiser Grand. What an incredible piece of history. The Geiser Grand is a beautifully restored 19th century hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Whether having breakfast in the cafe, or dinner in the beautiful dining room, the food was phenominal. There is no doubt my wife and I will be making return trips to Baker City and staying at The Geiser Grand.

The rooms are beautiful with elegant charm throughout the whole hotel. They have a charming gift shop, great bar, 3 dining areas, and some wonderful nooks that only exist in historic places. Be prepared to wait a bit for food, but it's worth the wait for any meal.

I tried to book the hotel thru a number of websites but finally found that by calling the hotel directly it was 1) cheaper and 2) there were more rooms available than the internet research showed. The hotel staff was very helpful on the phone and gave me several options. Very nice experience.
