“Good location in the heart of downtown Tulsa.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed three nights in December '11 and one night in January'12 and gave the hotel a Very Good rating. Yes, the rooms may not be like a brand new hotel but it was still a pleasant stay. No hot water issues and I got the room that was requested. The only real issue is you must request a room away from the elevators as they are very noisey!
Any downside is more than made up for by a pleasant and helpful staff, a very nice restaurant and bar and informative and helpful bellmen.
Couple of tips, call the hotel on exiting the plane and the van will pick you up at the Delta (closer) or United arrival area. The airport is just 15 minutes away from the hotel. Also, check the rental fees at the Avis office on Elgin (5 blocks from hotel and easily walkable) and you will pay quite a bit less than at the airport.
If you are in town for an event at the BOK Center, you will be only a very few blocks from this facility.

Room Tip: Stay away from the elevators!

Thank you for the kind words regarding the hotel. We truly appreciate it.

We are working on reducing the elevator noise. We should have a solution soon.

Thank you again for the kind words and comments about our proximity to the BOK Center. We are the place to stay for concerts and events.

Sincerely,

“Nice Hotel in Downtown Tulsa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This was my second stay at this hotel in less than 6 months. 2 night stay was booked on Priceline.com for $45/night.

No problems for me in room 1037. No mold, no mildew. The shower, sink, and toilet worked as expected. The shower got nice and hot with excellent water pressure. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well each night. There was very minimal noise in this hotel.

I brought some "spirits" from home, and the hotel provided me with a mini fridge for my room at no additional charge.

The hotel staff was friendly and check in was standard. I did not eat at the hotel or go to the bar.

The cost to park my car was $8/day. I felt safe at this hotel.

Would stay here again!!!!!

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

Nothing stellar - surprised being a Hyatt.

Rooms not well insulated for sound. Twice in four days had to wait ten minutes for warm, if not hot, shower water. No robes.

The night we arrived, many were not permitted to check in until after 17.00, some as late as 19.30. Heard various excuses from computer to lack of staff. One day room not cleaned until after we got back...so then not cleaned at all. No refill on coffee, had to hunt down hall.

Bed large and incredibly comfortable, with good pillow choices.

Unattentive service in Daily Grill bar.

Ongoing Internet issues was tiring, but staff did reverse all charges to compensate.

Oddly, when we had laundry done came back with tags attached by shopping plastic hang tags - not a great idea for people traveling with carry-on only so no scissors.

Food at conference ranged from mediocre to poor; but dinner wait staff attentive and friendly.

All in all...average. Certainly a decent place to stay, if below what I was expecting from a Hyatt. My recommendation for future would probably be driven by cost versus other options.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the issues you expereinced during your conference. We were not as prepared as we should have been for the large check-in and I do apologize for that. We have put action plans in place to ensure that we do not allow this to occur again.

Thank you again for the feedback and I hope to meet you on your next visit to Tulsa.

“Absolute Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

From the moment that you walk in the door, you are treated like their "most important guest". We felt very welcome. The staff were so very helpful. Even with directions to places around the city. The only draw back was the parking. I would absolutely stay there again.

Room Tip: We had a room away from the elevators

“I will try some place else next time I'm in Tulsa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

To me this was a typical Hyatt-putting on airs while failing to provide the basics. The grandure of the lobby doesn't mean much to me when the best I can get is a lukewarm shower at 9pm (even after letting the water run for ten minutes).

I only have a couple of 'needs' when I am traveling-a quite room, a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The Hyatt Regency Tulsa was able to provide me with a comfortable bed. The pillow top mattress was very comfortable, so comfortable that I even sleep well on the first night of my stay, which is typically my least restful night. They were unable to provide me with my other two needs though. The shower never got hot, although my second attempt at 5:30 am produced a warm shower (after the water ran for awhile). Hyatt, thanks for the reminder that I can help conserve out valuable natural resources by reusing my towel, but we would safe far more water if my shower produced hot water quicker! I've taken 'polar bear plunges' in warmer water.

The room also was not quite. I could hear the elevator going up and down all night and every time my neighbor entered his/her room it sounded will they were coming into mine.

Room Tip: Stay on a low floor-colleagues told me they didn't have hot water issues. Stay far far away fro...
