“Property was easy to deal with and has a convenient location for our business.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2010

Myself and colleagues have stayed at this property many times and have always had great luck not just with the easy-going staff but with the convenient location for our business. Hotel has always been quiet, clean and a great place to relax between meetings and events. Will continue to make it our home away from home for travelers associated with our company.

“Carlson execs should visit this place.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2010

As a Goldpoints Plus member I used my reward points to book a suite at this property. Normally I would have stayed at the Radisson but there were no suites available for the dates of our trip. While this property is suppose to be nearly complete in renovation it leaves a lot of room for question. We found the pillow top mattress to be broken down and difficult to sleep on, the pull out sofa had dirty sheets and was full of popcorn, when we open it the springs were broken at the foot so that the mattress fell through, our son had to sleep on the sofa. The TV's were not working properly and the outlet next to the bed was not working properly as we discovered when trying to get the alarm clock to work. The property is located in a less than desirable area of Tulsa and far away from good food and the rest of the city. We stayed the one night only and I called Goldpoints Plus the next morning.
To Carlsons credit They moved us to the Radisson in Tulsa and the balance of our stay was quite pleasant. Just after we checked out to change properties I heard the manager tell a staff member that there was nothing wrong with the room. If you are staying with Carlson, stay at the Radisson.

Sir we are so sorry about the inconvinence you have had at our hotel. I talked to my staff they did say that the sofa bed was broken, they didnt see anything wrong with the tv or or the outlet next to the bed. i personally checked it and tv and outlet were working just fine. The manager on duty and the desk clerk were discussing about some other room that the housekeepers was cleaning wile you were checking out. They wernt discussing about the room you were in. We appreciate you taking the time to inform us regarding your recent stay with us.
On behalf of our entire staff here at the Country Inns & Suites we apologize for the concerns you have about your experience at this hotel. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit, we can meet or exceed your expectations.

Sincerely,

Neal Patel

“Dated - Plumbing Issues”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

We have stayed at various Country Inn and Suites during this trip and one thing that always impressed us previously was the room quality. Well, this one was an exception. The rooms were straight out of the early 1990s and in this one the plumbing didn't work correctly - sinks wouldn't drain and neither would the tub.

We got to breakfast right at 9:30 to find it all already packed up and gone (they close it at 9:30 but to me that means they should at least wait until then to see if anyone is coming....)

The rooms were big and everything seemed clean.

I would not stay here again, however.

“A bit dated, but ok...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night since we were catching an early flight out of Tulsa to Mazatlan, MX. The rooms were dated but I felt they were clean. There was a very sweet lady working the front desk the night we checked in. Other that she, the only staff we encountered was the gentleman who drove us to the airport at 4:00am. There were 6 of us in the van and he drove like a maniac! Not just that, but the roads were wet and a bit icy. Our flight was delayed 40 minutes while the plane was de-iced. Honestly, the taxi drivers in MX had nothing on this guy! My husband swore he was going to call and report this man when we returned. There really was no need for his driving behavior. So, if you plan on riding to the airport from this hotel..beware! Other than that, you should be fine.

“Very friendly staff but cleanliness was questionable.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2010

They have a lowest price "guarantee" on their website. I found a low rate on hotels.com and expedia.com. Their website stated that they would match any lower rate than on their website and then give 25% off of the lower rate. I called to take advantage of this offer and was told that the 25% would make the rate "too low". After speaking with a manager, he was able to knock 20% off of the rate, but again the 25% would have been "too low".
We only stayed for one night. I don't think my son's allergies could have taken another night. The boys loved that the pool stayed open until 11pm. The room was clean. The decor was a little out-dated, but management stated that they were working on that. (From the reviews it seems that they have been working on this for a while.) I got extra blankets from the front desk since my son sometimes gets cold at night. His allergies started going crazy and we called it a night. When unfolding the blankets to put on his bed I found a dead roach nestled inside one of them. My husband didn't sleep most of the night as his allergies started going later than my son's did. Upon waking in the morning we went down to breakfast to find that all of the breakfast items were empty or near empty and the waffles were sticking in the waffle machine for everyone. The coffee machine was not working properly, either.
While packing up I pulled the curtains open for a little more light. That is when I discovered what had my families allergies in an uproar. The mold on the inside of the window area was even making the paint fall off. There were holes in the walls that were hidden behind the curtain and the mold was horrific.
