“Over priced, bad service, bad food. Will not stay there again.”

We stayed in this location to be near the airport to leave on a trip the next morning. The rate is overpriced. The food is overpriced and not any good. I felt totally ripped off staying here, and I will not do it again.

“Good hotel, convenient to airport”

Not sure about some of the concerns expressed in other reviews; the rooms are perfectly nice (and sizable) and personally I didn't notice in shortcomings in the restaurant and lobby. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is SO close to the airport you could practically walk and you are also on the major thoroughfares within seconds. If you were arriving late and renting a car you could stay overnight and pick up the car the next day and save yourself a little money. On my last minute I clocked myself (on a very early morning departure) at 38 minutes from the hotel to when I exited security (after dropping off a car and checking a bag).

“Girl's Night "Stay"cation Upgrade”

I needed an affordable girl's night away location for me and two friends, and this was the perfect spot. We just wanted to get away from our own houses and have a low key night with homemade spa/beauty regiments. This was certainly an upgrade from a staycation at my house!

The staff was friendly, professional and accomodating. They even got sodas for my two friends while they waited for me to arrive to check in.

The hot tub was relaxing and we enjoyed having a Papa John's pizza quickly delivered to us on the patio. The bed was very comfortable. I liked that there were a number of pillows on the bed with varying firmness, which allowed us to each have a pillow that suited us perfectly.

“Still a tired and beaten up property.”

This hotel has not gotten any better since the last time I had to stay here a year ago. The property is still run down, and the hotel feels and looks tired and dirty and the hotel property has a "stuffy" feel. The one (and only) plus is that it is practically on airport property, so it is incredibly convenient to the airport.

I imagine that a lot of the travelers that stay at the hotel only stay for one night. So, the hotel management can ignore some things until they come to a head. For example, the bathtub in the bathroom did not drain -- and when I raised it to management I got a "Oh, wow, we will get to that right away." How can housekeeping service a room and not realize that the drain is completely clogged up?

Not a good stay, and I hope I am not back.

Thank you for your review, and your return to the hotel!

While our property is growing in maturity--we will celebrate our 12th anniversary this year--I am pleased to announce that we have begun our big renovation! Currently the lobby is being completely renovated, from the carpet and tiles to the chairs and the drapes! The entire Pavilion lobby, Pantry center, dining room, and breakfast buffet area are being renovated to emphasize a more modern, fresher decor for our guests.

Once the lobby completes renovation this spring, we will be moving on to replacing all of the guest room carpet this summer and then the hallways in the fall. Furthermore, we have recently dramatically increased the internet quality and speed and will be adding HD channels and 100+ cable channels to our guest room televisions that have also been recently upgraded throughout the hotel.

There are lots of exciting (and good-looking!) changes coming to the HGI this year, and I hope that you will return to see all of the improvements in the future!

“Leave the Airport and Stay Downtown”

This HGI is really the only "branded" property near the airport. It's certainly at the lower end of the HGI brand quality. The property is showing definite signs of wear - stained carpeting, chipped and worn paint, holes on the walls where the televisions used to be mounted... The window-mounted air-conditioners/heaters seem like they're in competition with the aircraft from next door (very lolund). If you do need to stay here, be sure to request a room on the 3rd (top) floor. I heard every step, every drawer, and every use of the plumbing (sink, toilet, shower) when the person above me got up and moving at 4:00 AM. It was so pronounced that I had no choice but to get up myself.
Given a choice, next time through Tulsa I will either take a taxi or rent a car and go to another HGI or a Courtyard closer to town. (There's an Aloft not too far away that I saw on my way back from dinner)

Thank you for staying at our hotel recently! In response to your comments, I have exciting news to share: we were just approved through Hilton for a renovation of our public areas! We will be replacing all of the carpet, tile, furniture and fixtures in the lobby as well as refreshing many other areas including the bathrooms and pool. Additionally, our fitness center just completed an upgrade with new equipment and a fresh, modern look.

We do apologize about the external noise; being literally on the airport's doorstep has its advantages--like our complimentary shuttle through all of the scheduled flights, on-demand pick up and drop off runs, and the very shortest ride to the airport in all of Tulsa--but it also has its disadvantages.

Thank you again for choosing our hotel, and we hope to host you again in the future! We're very excited to see these things happen at the HGI Tulsa Airport, and hope that you will come check out the changes later in the spring!
