Traveling for business and made Tulsa my half-way stop. This is a bigger L Quinta (3 floors) but equipped with an elevator through the lobby (which makes parking near the lobby a must but difficult to do - I would hate to haul bags up three floors using the outside staircases). Rooms are outward facing, not in to the hallway. Beds are reasonably comfortable and wide-screen TVs are the right size.

The breakfast (Hot waffle machine, cold other - Continental) is standard anymore, so nice to have, but nothing to write home about.

The room was quiet and cozy. The neighborhood seems fine. Parking lot well lit.

I recommend and would stay here again.

I recommend the La Quita - Tulsa East. Although it is not what I would call a visually attractive motel, it has fundamentally good qualities.

The best feature is the surprisingly quiet rooms. Despite a busy freeway (US 169) on one side of it and a Jack-in-the-Box fast food restaurant with a 24-hour drive-through on the other, noise in the room is not a problem. The exterior walls have a thick brick veneer which probably help with this.

Other advantages include exterior room entrances which make it easy to get from the car to the room, a polite/efficient front desk staff, clean rooms, responsive air conditioners/heaters, and relatively inexpensive rates. This La Quinta also has new Sanyo HD TV's with very good connections to the cable or satellite system. The motel's location is decent; it's in a respectable neighborhood in the east-central part of the metro area. It's also situated along a busy commercial strip with a variety of fast-food and sit-down restaurants in walking distance.

The only "negatives" would be the plumbing and initial access to the motel. The toilet in my room was a bit fussy. Access to the property is a bit awkward if you are coming in from US 169. You have to loop through the Jack-in-the-Box parking lot and around the motel itself to get to the lobby.

Stopped here on our way to Dallas from St. Louis. Got there about 10 pm and left at 7 the next morning. Everything was clean, beds comfortable, easy access to and from 44. Check-in was easy, and the desk lady was very nice. Not sure about the neighborhood, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel is an average La Quinta we had 4 rooms clean enough.
The problem we had was upon checking in we told the front desk girl that we would be
paying with a different credit card. She said she would make a note however, checking
out the hotel had already charged the one card. I ask how we could keep this from
happening in the future and was told to tell them when I checked in. The girl finally did
make the correction but it took 15 minutes for her to do so and she was not happy. I
am sorry but when you tell someone you will be using a different card that is all you can
do I expect the frontdesk clerk to make the proper adjustments.
