This hotel was previously a holidome and was very nice in its day. The rooms are very old with stained carpets, ratty bed linens, old furniture and rundown bathroom facilities. We specifically requested a non smoking room due to allergies when we made our reservation 3 months prior, but when we checked in they did not honor it - even though I had confirmation, etc. The entire town was booked up due to college game or we would have gone elsewhere (and I did call around). Our room smelled horrible and we woke up with red eyes and coughing. The price is way too high for the poor quality of "Quality" Inn. They had better upgrade if they want to compete with the newer hotels in Stillwater.

We checked in just after the room was supposedly cleaned by housekeeping. We had to kill flies for 30 or 40 minutes. Must have been 15 or 20 flies in the room. Started to leave them in a pile so housekeeping could see them. The drapes on the room were filthy. The lamp between the bed and couch was not working. I saw the lamp was unplugged and pulled the night stand out to get to the plug in. The wall was filthy. Had not been cleaned in no telling how long. It was grime and grease on the wall. The mattress was okay, but the pillows were not Choice pillows. Breakfast was started being put out 15 minutes later than the posted time. We left 30 minutes past the time it should have been out and it was still not all put out. The Guest Service Agents were not very knowledgeable about restaurants in the area or Choice Hotels Programs.

This hotel is not the fanciest hotel in town, but it's not the worst either. I've stayed here several times due to problems with my on campus apartment when I went to OSU and I always had a decent experience. Both the outside and inside rooms are pretty small and plain but they have always been clean. This hotel is also close to campus which is nice and there is plenty of parking. The pool area is nice, but every time I've gone the pool has been freezing. The desk staff is very nice and helpful. Overall, it's not a fancy, modern hotel but the prices aren't bad during off peak times and it's a good place to sleep.

I stayed for 2 nights at the hotel for a chess event with my son. I was given the outside room, the building was very old, and inside, the walls, texure, wall papers were falling out. This was defnitely not a Quality Inn standard hotel. I am not sure how they even got the quality Inn branding. May be the inside rooms are clean and used to get the branding, and the outside room is really like a cheap motel, and they charge the same rate.
They did not have the internet access at all for all the 3 days, and said that it was down, and will be reparied the day after we left. I would not stay here again paying $75.
