“Typical Courtyard”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This hotel is a typical Marriott Courtyard. My room was of standard Courtyard size, very clean, 2 double beds, ample work area with wired internet, and a well-stocked bathroom. Check-in was handled efficiently by a pleasant front desk clerk, as was my check-out. Parking was convenient, and there are a number of keyed accesses into the building, making it fairly convenient to get to my 3rd floor room from close-by parking. I stayed on a weekend rate ($67/night) which was reasonable for the quality and location of this hotel.

Wired internet access in my room was convenient, but I noted that download speeds were a bit slow at times. It wasn't a big deal, but if anyone plans to do some heavy work on the internet, this may be something to be aware of.

I've stayed here a few times over the past 2-3 years and have not encountered any of the problems that others have reported regarding this hotel. I've never had a room that was not clean, comfortable, and in good repair, nor have I ever encountered any staff that weren't helpful and pleasant. Nor have I ever felt unsafe in the parking lot or the neighborhood in general.

In the immediate vicinity are a many other hotels in various price ranges (from Motel 6 to Hyatt Place), fast food, gas stations, family restaurants (Denny's), and shopping (Wal-Mark, Office Depot, Hobby Lobby, and others) are a short drive away - 1 exit to MacArthur on I-40. Downtown OKC is about 10-15 minutes away.

My rating of "Average" is in comparison to other Courtyards that I've stayed at. This one is, for all intents and purposes, typical of Courtyards, based on my own experience.

One minor suggestion for the hotel - I was told that coffee was only available when the restaurant is open. Many hotels keep coffee available around the clock. That would be a nice touch.

I stayed here on 12/30/2011 and the back window of my Lexus LS430 was smashed out and goods stolen right next to the front doors in the hotel parking lot. I was not notified till I found it in the morning and the staff was slow and minimally helpful. Expected more from the staff since I am a gold level and the situation.

“Fine for a one night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011 via mobile

I think this hotel gets a rough deal with the reviews.

It is fine. I wouldn't want to spend a week here admittedly but for a one night stop over close to hotel it works.

Room was nice, clean and large. Yes the general decor could do with an upgrade but I would stay here again for the 89 bucks I paid.

“Should not be a Marriott property”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

Marriott properties are well kept and clean. Not this one. There were bugs on the writing table, the dead bolt lock did not work, Room was not clean and the carpets worn out

Night before I stayed at the Fairfied Inn next door and it was great. Clean room, super friendly staff, and lower price.

“Good Hotel for a Short Trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

My Hubby is stationed in Texas just about 2 hours south of OKC. I flew in to visit for a short weekend and this hotel fit our needs perfectly. Not spectacular but it had everything we needed. Was clean, great accommodating staff, fast internet stations, free internet to the rooms. It did not have up to date luxuries like a fridge but the rooms were standard. The King provides space and even had a balcony. Windows and balcony were not clean, but the bed was. They did not have a bar or restaurant which is something we like in a hotel, however this was a short stay and did have a market you could purchase quick items at. The staff really was wonderful! Allowed us a super late check out while waiting for my flight so we could stay in the room versus going somewhere with all our luggage. Location was great, about 10 mins from downtown and 10 mins from the airport! It was a nice stay overall.
