I was able to get a discount for my stay at this property because I made my reservation online, which I thought was a great deal. However, when I got to the hotel with my two chihuahuas, I was told it would cost me an additional $20 per dog per night for my stay. I was very upset because I have stayed at Best Westerns before and did not have to pay such a fee (at the most, it was a deposit that I got back after check out). Although I totally understand the need for some type of pet deposit, that was an excessive non-refundable fee. My dogs are potty trained and crated; yet, it would've cost almost as much as my daily room rate just to have my dogs with me. So, I drove in a downpour of rain to find a pet boarding place closeby. It was half the price of what it would be at Best Western; plus, the people at the boarding facility actually feed your pets and take them out to potty. (But the point is, I really didn't want to spend the extra money, that's why I had my dogs with me on my travels for Thanksgiving holiday.)
And what made it even worse was that fact that the lady at the front desk was extremely unhelpful with an "I could care less" attitude.
The room itself was fine, but I know I will not stay here again. I have a choice for where I can stay, so why stay somewhere who really doesn't 'welcome pets' at all.
