Stayed here and regreted it. Very bad smell in rooms.Cigerette burns in bed spread in non/smoking room. Dirty bathtub.(mold around tub)HOT HOT HOT inside room and "A/C" must be on some kind of timer. Would not cool room at all. Up all night from heat.Someone had their car window broken out during the night.Glass all over.I think this place is in a rough neighborhood. Yes the room is big.......that is about it. Tiles and holes in the closet. I thought a rat could have done that????Will pay $20.00 more for a better hotel.This place was a huge mistake.

The only positives were the room was big and the bed was decent but otherwise this is a $35-$40 hotel that charged $80. Everything was plastic, the pool was nasty, the lighting was terrible, the TVs are OLD, the breakfast was a joke and basically made me ill, and more. This place DOES NOT DESERVE TO USE THE NAME!!!!! Oh, I was supposed to have internet access in my room, but it never worked.

I was moving my dtr from her internship in Dallas back north and stopped in OKC to visit friends. I chose this hotel based on ease of getting back on I-44, general familiar location (I used to live in OKC many years ago), good rate, and prev positive exp with Hawthorn. The room was huge. Big bedroom, big livingroom, wet bar, big bathroom. It was essentially clean, except that it smelled ala urine. The only reason we didn't ask for another room was that we had just unloaded all the stuff from the car and we appreciated a first floor room. The bed was very firm, but comfortable. The shower was good and hot. The freezer in the mini fridge looked like a glacier. The breakfast was minimal. The lobby was very attractive. The people who worked there were nice. The location around the hotel was a little seedy, although it wasn't too far from a nicer area.
The next time I visit OKC I will stay elsewhere.

I checked into the Hawthorn only because my "regular" placed was booked. WOW - I have been so impressed from the warm, friendly, helpful staff, to the breakfast buffet @ no extra charge, and great technological support to the clean, quite and comfortable rooms! Shane "runs the place during the evening and Becky does so during the day - they are the best and have met & exceeded my every request - thanks for making my stay so great - I will always stay here in the future...the cost is more than reasonable and the service is beyond compare.....truly!!!!
