“Not the best Hampton”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Overall the stay was pleasant. This seems like an older hotel overall, so I understand some of the issues. Breakfast was typical for a Hampton so no surprise there. The eating area was quite small.
The rooms were adequate. Overall the room was clean, but for some reason it just did not feel clean. The comforter was noticeably dirty so it was changed without any problem.
The parking lot is well lit with another hotel next door basically sharing the biggest part of the lot. I would not feel comfortable parking in the back of the hotel, as the apartment areas behind the hotel had alot of shady characters walking around at night. We drove through that area to get to the hotel and that caused us to seek out the best parking spot due to worry about a break-in. This hotel seems a bit too expensive compared to other Hamptons, especially considering the above.
As far as general location, it is close to a ton of restaurants and the mall is just across the road.

“Clean Hampton in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

We stay at this Hampton Inn every year and always find it to be clean and enjoyable. Breakfast area is very small and choices limited but rooms are very clean as well as the common areas. They have an indoor pool with hot tub which is nice during winter. There are tons of eating places all along the expressway as well as great shopping. Only 20 easy minutes from the airport. Will always stay at this hotel when in OKC.

“Just a Hampton Inn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

It seams like all the Hampton Inns I stay at are older and need remodeled, It is clean and the staff is great,The beds are old carpets etc. the grounds are very nice they keep the place as good as can be with what they have to work with. All and all it beats super 8 and motel six hands down so I guess I can't compalne to much, I would stay again.

“Better Than Average Budget Price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

I stayed at the Hampton Inn at Quail Springs this week. I often have occasion to spend the night in the Edmond area, and have tried several of the hotels there. This one was clean, comfortable, and met my needs well enough. The bed was good, the linens soft, the tv was a nice flat screen, and the ladies at the front desk were some of the friendliest I have found anywhere. My room had a microwave and a refrigerator, as well. The only negative observations I have include the fact that there was a significant amount of mold growing on the lower part of the shower curtain, and the shower head did not work well. So much for a relaxing shower after a hard day! The air conditioner was the window type, and it was not really consistent with the temperature, so my night was interrupted a bit by a poor air quality. There was also an unusual odor on entering the room; not horrible, just not pleasant. There was breakfast for those who wanted to take advantage of it, and it looked good, with hot food, waffles, juice, and the cold fare. I did not eat there, in part because of the communal table. That just is not my preference. The breakfast area is clean and nice, but I do not want to eat at a table full of people I do not know and have no need to get to know. In summary, I know I can do better but I still managed to get a good night's rest and the price was right. The location was good for me, too, since it is right across from the mall and there are many restaurants from which to choose. I do not plan to stay at the Hampton again, although it is less for its faults than for the better quality of another near by hotel. It is, after all, always best to get the most bang for your buck!

“Find Another Hampton”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2011

It smells. No matter what they are using, stale smoke odor permeates the hotel. We walked by a cleaning cart in the hallway this morning (3/13/11) laden with dirty ashtrays.
This is an older property and the new linens, curtains, etc are a feeble attempt to mask the worn mattress, thin walls and uneven flooring. The pool area was ok. The whirlpool ( missing a couple of tiles) was at a decent temperature, but the pool was very cold. The entry had a few beverage options, but not like the offerings in the Abilene Hampton (which were fantastic). The staff was friendly and check in/out was speedy. We won't be staying at this Hampton again.

We apologize that you found your stay less than the Hampton Standard. We are under renovations and have moved all the smoking rooms to one area to eliminate the smoke from traveling. I very much appreciate your comments and hope that you will visit us again. Have a great summer
