“Went above and beyond my expectations!”

I wasn't expecting much out of a 2-star hotel for our last minute weekend family get-a-way. So I was pleasantly surprised by what we found when we arrived with our 3 young children in tow at 4 in the morning. The night clerk was very nice and joking around with me about the fact that we were checking in at 4 a.m. I didn't realize this at the time, but he had put us in a room next to an elevator with no one on the other side. I will get back to that in a minute. We were put in a decent sized room with 2 queen sized beds. Considering I had booked on Priceline using Name Your Own Price I was quite shocked that I ended up with 2 beds at all, let alone 2 queen beds without any argument. I give them major props for that! The beds were VERY comfy! Each bed had at least 8 pillows...something I normally don't see in anything under 3-star hotels. I honestly did not want to get out of bed in the morning. The bathroom was quite spacious as well. The room was very clean. There was a desk with nice rolling work chair as well as a lounge chair and flat screen tv. The pool was great for the kids. The deepest part was only 3'6" which was perfect for our 4 and 5 year olds. I stopped at the front desk to ask about noise on a Saturday night afraid that my boys were causing a problem. The lady at the front desk said no one had complained. She said there was no one in the room next to us and that she would leave a note to not put anyone in that room. She told me to just relax and enjoy my vacation. She said if my kids were causing any kind of noise problem she would call my room and let me know. That right there says a lot about how much the hotel staff cares about their guests. I would DEFINITELY stay here again! The location is okay. The mall across the street looks rather deserted. Although, right now much of OKC seems to look that way. It is a short drive to the zoo, museums, etc. which was good for us. Also, WIFI worked wonderfully! We had absolutely no problems and I loved that we didn't need a password to connect.

“Conveniently Located”

The Fairfield Inn at the Crossroads was my savior during the ice storm of '09. My business partner and I had originally booked at another company-preferred hotel, but it was too long of a drive in the ice to our meeting site. We used Mapquest to search for nearby hotels to our meeting site, and that is when I discovered the Fairfield was just 2 miles away. Just as the name states, the Fairfield is located at the crossroads between I-35 and I-240. There is a mall next door, but I think its going out of business. However, there are plenty of other shopping and restaurants within a few miles. The room itself was comfy and a good value for the price. The front desk clerk, Teri, was very accomodating.

“Stopped here twice on our way through the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2008

We stopped here for a short period of time on both March 19, 2008 and March 29, 2008. The first time the hotel was awesome . Everything was great. The second time we all just really wanted to go home after being on the road for 11 days so we just stopped for a very short time period and the bathroom was less than desirable. I complained and called the manager the next morning and he said there had been no charge on that room which made me happy. I believe if we had stayed there they probably would have made the room right or given us another one. My shoes did stick to the floor when I walked through the lobby area but I did see a small child dripping ice cream as they were walking and it was around 12am. I guess it would be hard to keep it clean all the time. Esp. at that time of night.

This Fairfield Inn is not a new one, but has just had an update. It has the white sheet bedcovers and is all non smoking. The hotel is basic, but clean. A good experience.
