“Decent value if unremarkable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

This was my first stay in an ESA and it was fine for a single night, but I am not too sure I would have wanted an extended stay. The room was a decent size, with a small kitchen area (noisy fridge/freezer, but I soon found how to unplug it). Compared to many budget options, this hotel lacks amenities - no breakfast or coffee included, and no pool. Also still seems to lack free access wireless internet. But the rate was good for OKC (which oddly, seemed to be more expensive than the Dallas area) and there were no problems with my stay.

It's an indoor corridor hotel and set well back from the road, so is reasonably quiet. Some websites say it's impossible to find - it isn't, but there is only very limited signage off the NW Expressway so it's worth checking out on Google Streetview beforehand. You can also cut through the car park of Target to reach it from May Avenue (and the nearest restaurants are on May at the Mayfair development).

“Just about everything wrong”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2010

First, it took me 15 minutes and several circles to find the place. You can see it from the highway and from the main crossroad but due to horrible signage, it is very difficult to find. You have to go through the Target parking lot to access the service road or else go back by the church road, which is in horrible shape. That frustrated me enough as it is GET SOME SIGNAGE PLEASE!

Sign in was OK, annoyed by the charge for the internet.

Room was kinda dingy and had that "someone was smoking in here but they masked it" kinda smell. All the lights did not work and the carpet had several sticky spots on it from syrup or some goo that was not cleaned up. Lucky for them I was exhausted and just looking for a quick bed.

The noise from water rushing through the place was annoying as can be.

Worst stay in a hotel I've had in a long, long time.

And TravelAdvisor, this hotel does not pop up when I search for Extended Stay Oklahoma City.

“Would not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2008

I knew from reading previous reviews that this would not be the best hotel I've ever stayed at. However, I did expect it to be a little better than it was. The room seemed clean but it had a really stale nasty smell that would not go away and I never got used to it. We were only there for one night but I couldn't believe how gross the elevator was. It looked (and smelled) like someone had been chewing tobacco and just spit it all over the wall of the elevator.

Because it was an Extended Stay hotel there seemed to be people that "lived" there along with all their pets. Whenever my husband and I left the room we could hear big dogs barking from other rooms.

The location was great for shopping and eating out and that was about the only positive thing about it. I would not stay there again no matter how good of a deal I could get on the room.($44 Travelocity) I will gladly pay more to stay somewhere else. I guess it is true, you get what you pay for.

“Wasn't the worst but certainly not the best.”

Got this hotel for $35 plus tax on Priceline ($47 total) and it certainly wasn't worth more than that. Bed was pretty uncomfortable, carpets in the room were worn and unkempt, comforter had cigarette stains in it (and it was a non-smoking room), and the towels were the thickness of something you'd buy at the dollar store. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 PM, and the front desk is not open after 11, so there was nothing that could be done to change rooms. Hotel was also not signed well and hard to find. Priceline rates this particular ESA as a two-star. As I commented to customer service after I was awarded this property but before I stayed, I'd say thats a stretch. Might be better than a 1-star, but not a 2-star. It can fill your needs for a place to sleep for one night, but thats about it. I'm in Springdale, Arkansas right now at another Priceline 2-star property- its a Hampton Inn, and its very nice. This Extended Stay property was not- if it hadn't been so late in the evening I'd have gone to see if the Sleep Inn down the street had any rooms.

“Good, quality place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2007

This is a clean, comfortable, no-frills efficiency type hotel, which caters to folks staying longer than a normal hotel stay. We got this room from Priceline for a very reasonable amount ($55). The room offers a tiny kitchen, which we didnt use since we were only there one night, but it was clean, nothing appeared to be broken or ill-used, and it came with a coffeemaker and a microwave in addition to a stove top and fridge.

The folks running the place were quite pleasant and chatty, when my mother asked for a bar of soap, the girl behind the counter dumped a handful in her palm, which was a nice touch, made them seem like they were not stingy.

Nearby are various restaurants, a Target, and an Office Max. There is no restaurant or fitness facility on premises. I will keep these folks in mind if I ever need a long term accomodation!

  • Liked — liked the kitchen aspect, you dont feel like you have to eat out every night
  • Disliked — kind of hard to find, the sign is obscured and far back from the road
