Our experience was excellent. We did have some trouble reaching the managers over the phone. But, well, the rest of it was well above expectations!
It was our romantic gateway and we stayed two nights. The atmosphere is fantastic, the management is kind. The cabins are very well maintained, clean, have Jacuzzis, hot tubs, fireplaces. We felt as we were in VIP suite! Very very nice.
You can dine in the lodge; ask for massage, horse rides, etc. Enjoy nature, beautiful forests, creeks, go to Broken Bow Lake, which is only half an hour away. Or just stay in the cabin, enjoy the porch with outside swing, sit in the hot tub, or enjoy your Jacuzzi. I feel it is one of the best places in Oklahoma for a romantic gateway!

My husband and I have stayed at the Cabins on Eagle Creek four times. We just got back from a weekend visit and it was wonderful. The cabins are under new management www.thereserveoneaglecreek.com and they and the owners of the cabins have done a lot of work bringing them to their former glory. We've stayed in Little Pond, Eagles Nest and Deer Ridge. Deer Ridge is our absolute favorite. They've added so many things like a chest of drawers, additional lamps, his/her robes, upgrade the bed and linens. I could go on and on. We love these cabins and feel you should give it a try if you are looking for a quiet (no phones), relaxing vacation. We did have a cell signal in this cabin so we could check on our children.

They even refunded part of our stay because right after I booked our stay, they ran a February special. I was unaware of it and was completely blown away by their honesty.

Zondra and Andy have done a wonderful job.

They stated off charging the full amount on our credit card. We were suppose to get directions in an email; I had to call four times before I finally received them and that was because I told her I would stay on the phone until I got the email I also explained to the lady that I am a police officer and was beginning to worry that they were a scam. When we got to the location the key was left on the office porch, but it was the wrong cabin. I called the contact numbers left on the porch but got no answer. About the time we were going to give in and go to the wrong cabin, in pulled the family management team. We got it sorted out, but the stress level was high. Once we got into the cabin (Whispering Pines) things got better. The cabin was nice and the property is pretty. Do not make the mistake of giving any of the 12 dogs food; they will not leave you alone if you do.
I talked to the owner of two of the cabins on the property, I think its Cliff View and Eagle something. He told me they no longer use the on site people to manage because of several problems.
If you book with Eagle Creek, expect to be charged the full amount and possibly more right up front. They will give you several excuses, including blaming each other for "accidentally" running the card twice or mixing it up with another reservation. Expect them to "accidentally" leave you the key to a less expensive cabin. I think they pocket the difference if they can stall you long enough or frustrate you to the point of giving in.
It is truly a shame that those people manage the property. The place is really pretty and could be something really special. Unfortunately the two that manage it (Joe and wife) are going to run business away and eventually ruin the place.
If you are not clear yet; Do Not Stay unless you can pay cash in person. Do Not Give Them Your Credit Card Number.
There are several places to stay in that area that are as good if not better and they don't try to rip you off. Rivers Edge, Pine Meadows, Heartpine, and Sundown to name a few.

I booked the Deer Ridge cottage for this past weekend via the website. I got an email with a confirmation number saying that I would get a phone call with directions and procedures. In the meantime I started attempting to call, and I also emailed them letting them know I hadn't been contacted. They don't even have a machine or voicemail and they NEVER replied to my email (still haven't)! Three days prior to my scheduled arrival I started to get really nervous, so I began to look for different accommodations.

My search brought me to [-], a different website that has several of THE SAME CABINS FOR RENT! It was Christmas Eve at 9pm. I called and got an answer right away! Apparently The Reserve has bought and manages most of the cabins that the Guest Cottages still list on their site!!

I was SO thankful to have had things turn out as they did. I got the White Oak cabin, and it was beautiful and serene. But I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM the Guest Cottages at Eagle Creek!!

If you love the look of these cottages (they are ABSOLUTELY stunning, by the way) then contact the Reserve and don't bother with this terrible company! They have an F on the BBB website. FOR GOOD REASON!
