Very disappointed with front end service and for this to be a Marriot, I expected better. The beds were very hard. The hotel is very out-dated and not clean. Amber and Jessica were the worst front end people I ever dealt with. This SpringHill gives Marriot a bad name.

Between business and personal, I stay at Marriott hotels quite often and most of the time it is a spring hill suites. Up until now, I have always been pleased. Please let me first say that while not very professional in dress, they were very pleasant. When we arrived, we went up to our room to check everything and the first thing we hear is a terrible noise coming from the air conditioner that sounded like a crying baby (that's the best way I know to describe it). We went down and told the lady at the desk and she offered to move us. We went and checked the second room. When we walked in, it smelled musty. I went and checked the bathroom and the floor as well as the bathtub were dirty. Needless to say we took the first option with the strange sounding air unit. The lady at the desk stated she would let someone know about the air unit but to my knowledge, nobody ever checked it. Also, when we were bringing up our stuff, my husband and I were standing at the elevator door talking with the clerk and the door to the elevator timed out and started to shut. My husband's arm was in the doorway so when it hit his arm, the door bounced off of his elbow and the outer door closed but left the inner door exposed. I have never seen this so I just thought someone should be aware!

I don't anticipate ever having to come back to Lawton, OK as I am only here to see my son graduate basic training but if I did, I would probably not stay here again. We are headed to Dallas, TX tomorrow and will be staying at the Springhill Suites there so hopefully it will be more of the quality I have come to expect!

I've lived in Lawton for most of my life so I knew not to expect much from the hotels there. The staff was friendly but after being on the road for 2 days all I wanted was a clean room and a hot shower....sigh

So...the room was very big, there wa a sink, mini fridge, and a microwave...couch, table, desk and 2 flat screen tvs---

...And the floors were disgusting!!--the carpet looked matted down and had stains on them and entering the bathroom it was torn up a bit. They just need to rip out the carpet and bathtub and the room would be cool.

The tub had various kinds of hair over it--I always clean for my own comfort and I didn't want to bathe in the tub at all...it was for one night so I had to suck it up. I make make-shift mops by filling up the sink with soapy water and drenching a handtowel to clean the bathroom floors were we'll be stepping barefoot every hotel we stay in---I used 3 towels b/c the first 2 were black after I mopped. I was so defeated feeling and it was nearing midnight. We showered and just laid down, I tossed and turned...even though the sheets mostly looked clean (one of the beds had a red stain on the corner top sheet...maybe some nail polish b/c it didn't appear to be blood--I found a few hairs on and in the bed...the pillows needed some love b/c balling them up couldn't even help.

The complimentary breakfast was very nice, we got up early so there weren't that many people there. There were a variety a cereals to choose from, breads, and bisquits and sausage gravy etc.

We didn't use the pool or gym areas but they looked ok. I'll say the next time I'm in Lawton, which gratefully is only every couple of years for a nite or two I'll be trying the hotel behind this one for comparison...I will tell you, this is probably your best bet for the area.

BCT graduation. I still can not believe my stay here. Me and another family were here a few years ago and would have given it 5 stars. Not this time. I don't know where to begin. The front desk staff was NEVER at the front desk and always acted like they would rather be somewhere else. Twice they were in the back giggling. (there was no bell on the counter to get anyone's attention) No one knew anything. The air conditioners were horrible. They barely kept the room tolerable. 3 different times and 3 different people we requested the air be looked at. No one came (that we know of), if they did they didn't leave a note. We got tired of asking. The toilet seat was peeling, the carpet was horrible. The furniture was old and out dated. The room smelled funny. Old tv's. Beds were horrible. Some of us ended up sleeping on the floor. Whirlpool didn't work. I am so disappointed as we have always stayed Marriot on our travels. I would like to give the positive in this review though. There was always coffee when we needed it. House keeping staff was so nice. (maybe they should put them at the front desk) The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Breakfast was pretty good..........make your own waffles, yogurt, milk, ceral, muffins, one day biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. It was close to Ft Sill. Free wi-fi internet. The rooms were very spacious. I really hope this Marriot improves as it is NOT up to normal Marriot standards.
