Oh, where do I begin? I'll number these to make more sense of them.
1. A lot of the camp sites are advertised to be "shaded". There may be shade, but it's not anywhere at this campsite. They have tall trees, which are denuded almost all the way to the top. This leaves ZERO shade anywhere on the property.
2. The bathrooms were horrible. The showers do not drain, so you're constantly standing in other peoples' shower waste water. By the 2nd day of our trip, all the toilets were completely clogged and about a foot deep in feces. We figured we'd just use our RV bathroom and dump it on the last day. Big mistake, which leads into #3....
3. When we went to the dump station, it was not only completely backed up, the entire area was flooded with used toilet paper, urine and feces. There was absolutely nowhere to dump! Imagine this horrid scene on a hot Oklahoma day in May. The entire area had an odor I can hardly describe.
4. The property advertises to be lakeside. Yes, it's technically on the lake, but what you're up against is better described as a swamp. I wouldn't let my kids swim there. We drove 6 miles away to the Lake Texoma State Park to go swimming. It was much safer than swimming with sticks and God knows what else.
We were very disappointed by this place and would highly suggest other travelers completely avoid it.
