on our way travelling through Oklahoma, we stopped off in Elk city and had a pleasant nights stay at the Ramada Inn, Elk city. The rooms were really comfortable and clean. We also really enjoyed the brakfeast and service in the morning.

Cheap no-name motel quality at an above average namebrand price. Bottomline, this is an old old motorhotel that someone has slapped some paint on (put lipstick on a pig), jacked up the prices, and put a Ramada name on. It isn't horrible, I'd call it poor, and way too expensive! You'd be better to keep driving to Oklahoma City and stay downtown for 10 dollars more. The guest clerk greeted me with a mouth full of chewing tobacco that was so disgusting he could barely speak for fear something would dribble down his chin. There was no free breakfast as advertized on the marquee and the business center consisted of one computer. Oh yea....Bring flip flops unless you like dirty carpet.

We pulled into Elk City late and had little other choice but to stay here. Though the room was not dirty, it was really not what I would call clean. The location is very run down and the door to our room did not close properly. The air conditioner was loud and barely worked. The TV worked only part of the time and the beds were not very confirmable. The one bright spot of the stay was the full breakfast. Though it was not phenomenal by any means it was filling and did not taste at all bad. This is not my only negative experience lately with Ramada locations I am not sure what is happening to the chain but what ever it is has not been to the positive.

We booked to stay 2 nights at this Ramada hotel, however it was so bad we moved out after 1 night.

When we arrived we were checked into smoking rooms even though we booked non-smoking. One of our rooms the door wouldnt lock properly which meant the door had to be blocked shut.

It was a very cold night and the old heaters in the rooms couldnt warm up the rooms, so we had to sleep with extra clothes on.

The rooms overall (we had 4) were a fairly average standard and certainly nothing near described on the hotel website.

The foyer is being renovated so i currently in a mess. The rooms are in a separate building and have outside balconies, something to think about in the freezing cold winter weather as we experienced.

Breakfast is a cooked to order eggs and bacon or hash brown, OJ/Coffee breakfast. There is no normal cereal option. The problem with this breakfast is that there was only 1 lady there to take orders and cook the food. this meant that it took 1 hour for us place our order and finish breakfast, even then 1 meal was forgotten. It was at this point we had enough and checked out. This was the worst place we had stayed in 7 weeks on the road, with most places we have stayed at being of a similiar rating/standard.

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere it couldnt be any worse than this one.
