“Great location, great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2011

I really like the location of this hotel. It is a great place to stay north of OKC and away from the city. It even sits on a little pond with a nice walk area along the water. Very safe and there is a nearby convenience store at the gas station across the street. The staff was great; very friendly and considerate. The only drawback is this is an older Hampton and the rooms are getting worn. I'm hoping they remodel soon since this is such a nice location.

“Fine hotel and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

This is easy to find at the junction of I-35 and the Edmond exit, which is just north of OKC. There are several hotels here and a convenience store where travelers gas up. Down the road is a Walmart and Brahms:very convenient. Edmond has tremendous shopping and dining opportunities and many churches. This Hampton is like many others: quality and value. I enjoyed the included breakfast with omelets and sausage, juices, cereals, fruit, bread to toast....typical Hampton and very good! This hotel has only 3 floors and is small so it is simple to navigate. There is a pond behind which we walked around after breakfast. No dvd player! That's my only criticism.

“Rude Staff, especially Management!”

I was very surprised at how rude the staff handled room change requests for myself and others from our company. Even got the "that's our policy" response from the GM. We like the location but due to the cold showers and rude staff we will not be returning.

“Enjoyed our stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2009

We came to the OKC area for Memorial Day weekend with no set plans or reservations. I like the comfortable beds that Hampton Inns have so we decided to check the rate here. It was 79.99 which I thought was a bargain.

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The bathroom was nice with granite countertops and of course the beds were very comfortable with good sheets and lots of fluffy pillows. I forgot toothbrushes for our daughters and the front desk was able to provide complimentary ones when requested. All the workers were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was the usual continental fare but it was fresh and plentiful. Hot items included biscuits and omelets one day and biscuits and sausage another day. The breakfast area was also very clean and welcoming. The coffee was great.

The girls enjoyed the indoor pool and swam in it for several hours over the 2 days that we were there. The only complaint I had is that the chlorine in the hottub seemed very strong and was really irritating to our eyes and noses (and I didn't even have my face in the water).

The location proved near the interstate proved to be convenient and there were lots of restaurants nearby.

Overall it was a very nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone and would stay there again.

“No heat in December”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2008

We booked our stay at Hampton Inn because it was close to our destination and we have stayed at Hampton's before and liked their plush comforters. This Hampton Inn is older and not a lush as the new ones. They had comforters, but they were well used, but clean. What we didn't like was coming in at 11:00 pm and there was no heat to warm the room in December. It was lucky that the weather was chilly but not freezing or we would have been in bad shape. We had two rooms and neither had heat. Our children changed rooms, but we had already gotten ready for bed and didn't want to load up everything and find a new room.
The staff was nice and offered new rooms. However, no compensation for the room was offered and I didn't get a chance to ask the manager. There are newer hotels very near by and next time I think I will try another location.
