Hotel smells like marijuana. The maids turn off the air conditioner everyday which makes your room over 100 degrees. In addition, the hallways upstairs are not air conditioned. The maids do a horrible job cleaning. No soaps or washclothes. Overall service is bad and so is the hotel. Worst hotel ever.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in November 2009 and had a perfectly fine experience. We stayed in a "King suite", with a jacuzzi. The room was clean, everything worked, the linens were clean and in good shape. The staff was polite and helpful. Only 2 negatives: The bathroom needed more towels and the bed could have used more pillows (or at least thicker,fluffier ones). Otherwise, a nice, clean, safe hotel for the price.

I ended up booked at this hotel through a special deal a few months earlier offering very low rates, but requiring prepayment.

The first story I got at the front desk was that they couldn't find my reservation. I gave them the reservation number.

Next, they had the reservation, but it was at their normal rate. The manager was called at this point, who informed me that the special had only been for people using the room during that time frame, not people booking during that time frame. I got out my laptop at this point, pulled up the official website where it said that was the rate for my reservation on this particular night.

Eventually, they agreed to give me the rate, but said that it was just a normal reservation, not a prepaid reservation. The original desk clerk showed me a screen where he claimed it would have said prepaid.... how very odd that this screen had the reservation and rate listed that they had claimed were not there just minutes before.

I called the corporate number at this point. The first person had no clue what I was talking about. Their manager was familiar with the promotion, and agreed that it had been prepaid, however, they said they were unable to do anything about it until after they had already charged me the second time. After all that mess, my confidence in that was zero, so I gave up and left and called my credit card to reverse the earlier charges with them. Ironically, a much easier process than getting this hotel to honor deals made by their national chain.

I stayed here for one night and found it to be adequate but not very nice or particularly comfortable. This hotel is listed on some websites, including Tripadvisor, as a "new all-suites Super 8". While it may newly be a Super 8, the building itself seems old and dingy.

The location is right off the exit of Hwy 51, about 15 minutes SE of downtown Tulsa. There's a family restaurant adjacent to the property (it had really bad food, but it is convenient and they will deliver to your room). I was exhausted when I checked in, so I didn't venture out much away from the hotel area, but the front desk did have a list of nearby restaurants and stores available.

The Super 8 only has parking available on one side of the building and a slightly odd layout, so I had to park far from my room and drag all of our luggage through a back entrance, up the stairs and down a couple of long interior hallways.

The room itself was fairly spacious, but I don't really consider it a suite. It also had an odd layout, a standard hotel room with a small and useless alcove that had a desk, minifridge, TV and a recliner crammed into it. No sofa or seating area that I'd expect to find in a suite.

The furniture in the room was all worn and the beds were really old, springy and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. The blankets were really old, thin and scratchy, the kind I didn't really want to use. The bathroom towels were frayed and threadbare. The carpets were dirty. All of the fixtures were dirty, including the light switches, the hairdryer, the phone and the coffee maker. There was a lot of dirt and some trash behind the nightstand when I moved it to access the outlet. The whole room could use a thorough cleaning.

On the plus side, it was really quiet in the room, though I don't think there were many people staying there. It seemed like a fairly safe area. It was convenient to the highway. It had interior hallways

As much as I disliked the place overall, I put up with it because I was too tired from driving all day to find another hotel. Next time, I'll probably try priceline for one of the downtown hotels instead.

I don't really recommed staying here unless you need to be in this area for some reason. Though it seems that most of the inexpensive hotels in Tulsa all have the same mixed reviews, so who knows, this might actually be better than some of the others out there. If they cleaned it up and invested in some new furniture and bedding, it wouldn't be a bad place, but as it is right now it's slightly below average.
