“Not the worst... nor the best...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

We stayed here for a few nights in Oct 2010 to save a bit as opposed to staying at the La Quinta down the road.... I would have liked to have spent the extra if we could have. The Patels own and operate this Econolodge. So it's a family run business. Full sized beds were not the most comfortable and beds are the most important aspect for us. We want to have a good night sleep. Breakfast wasn't one to compare to La Quinta or the other pricier hotels in the Choice range. The coffee was awful!!!! Anyhow breakfast reminded me of the offerings of a continental breakfast 20 years ago at Super 8. Coffee, Juice, Toast, donuts. Next door is a Sonic Burger. The toilet kept getting plugged up on me. One afternoon when we returned it hadn't been fixed so I went to the housekeeping room and asked for a plunger, I guess she had it there ready to go do the deed, I just beat her too it. The staff/family were all very nice, Mr Patel and I had a lovely chat one evening.

“Worst motel ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2011

I spend around 120 nights in a motel a year. This place takes the cake as the worst motel ever. Customer service is shamefull here on how they treat customers. I found this place below standards in housekeeping and the breakfast is slim. If you offered me a free night here I would rather sleep in my car. Please drive on past this place!!!

“How bad can it be?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2011

Chose this motel because it was inexpensive and close to the facility where I was doing a trade show. I should have been alerted when I walked into the office area, which was one small room with one table available for our free breakfast. The guest room was very old, furnishings in poor condition including the torn sofa cushion, loose chair back, and mended sheets on the bed. Towels were so thin, I had to ask for extra just to get dry. No in-room coffee pot, and the fridge froze everything I put in it. Free wifi only worked intermittently. The free continental breakfast, consisted only of dry cereal and donuts, coffee and juice. Waffle machine was out of order. When I informed the "host" on duty that the juice machine was empty, he came out, barefoot and wearing his pajamas to fill it. One night the old TV wouldn't work; called the desk twice before someone came to check it; found out the maid had unplugged it to use the vacuum and had let the TV cord go behind the TV. That meant moving out the microwave/fridge combo and TV stand to reach the cord. Those three pieces were very heavy, and my partner had to help move them. There was no counter space in the bathroom, so had to put toiletries on the back and seat of the toilet stool. The only good thing about this place was that the shower worked well and it was close to the places I needed to go.

“So much for making reservations”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

What a horrible hotel the Econo Lodge in Bartlesville, OK is!!!

I made reservations online 2 days prior to the date of reservation and received my confirmation email, yet when my husband and the kids get to the hotel. They did not have the rooms that we reserved!!!!

What kind of business is that!!!??? So, instead of 2 rooms with 2 double beds to accommodate everyone, they were stuck with one room with the 2 beds and then a room with only 1 bed and were not offered any kind of discount or apology.

Definitely NOT a well run hotel.

“Very pleasant, more than we expected.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2010

We used three rooms for two nights. Rooms were clean, well maintained and well lighted. Temp was 21 outside but the rooms were warm and pleasant. The shower especially had been modernized and was a joy! Breakfast was juice, coffee, cereal, and a donut, all we could expect. Rate was barely over half that of other hotels there. Everything exceeded our expectations. This location lends credibility to the Choice Hotels group.
